We stayed here for 5 nights as a couple. Comfy bed, spacious room with good storage for clothes. We felt very safe in the hotel but I agree with previous reviews saying not to go left out of the hotel doors. A few more good points: Easy check in process ✅ Fridge ✅ Hairdryer ✅ Iron & ironing board ✅ Water bottles (refill in reception) ✅ Friendly and helpful staff ✅ TV with great channels ✅ Check out 12pm ✅ The hotel also extended our check out time until 1pm free of charge - a really nice touch because we haven’t experienced this anywhere else before where they let you stay and don’t charge you extra. We have nothing bad or negative to share about this hotel. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We stay at this hotel every year for the same annual conference and continue to have an excellent experience. Because our event requires booking well in advance, the sales team has been outstanding to work with—responsive, organized, and genuinely helpful throughout the planning process. The hotel rooms are consistently comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, which makes a busy conference week much more enjoyable. A major plus for our group is the hotel’s ability to accommodate connecting rooms, which is extremely helpful for our team’s logistics. We truly appreciate the consistency and reliability of both the staff and the property, and we look forward to returning each year.

Pretty ordinary hotel. Rooms are stuffy, ventilation poor, and the walls are quite thin. bed is substandard. restaurant is overpriced. upside is the free coffee in the morning

I don't normally write reviews but this 1 night stay was odd. Like others have said, solid location (easy walk to Union Square); fun combo classic/modern art and decor; and the most friendly restaurant staff who accommodated our late/weary party. The odd part was that our room, while clean and well appointed in other ways, was half painted as shown in the photo. A family member thought it smelled like new/wet paint too but I wasn't so sure. We got in late and only had the 1 night so just settled in and checked out next AM along our way on a road trip. When I let front desk know in the morning on check out they were kind but no effort to redress. Hopefully they didn't put anyone else in there. I emailed management after we left - no response. For what one has to pay to stay in the City, this was not ok.

I had a horrible experience with a different hotel in the morning. I booked The Marker literally the morning I arrived to San Francisco and it honestly was one of the smoothest experiences I have had. I was met with the most professional and kind front desk operation named Justice who was an absolute sweetheart and made the whole experience so positive that I’m considering rebooking for my stay when I get back there. Wonderful hotel, wonderful service!
