Our flagship property is housed in a landmarked flatiron-style building in San Francisco’s vibrant Mid-Market district, featuring captivating interiors by Kelly Wearstler, three inspired settings for meals or a cocktail, incredible rooftop views and impeccable service and amenities. For San Francisco’s newest destination hotel to open in over a decade, anything less just wouldn’t be Proper. Our collection of 131 Kelly Wearstler-designed rooms and suites maximize light and views, and feature elevated amenities including Aireloom beds that are hand made in California and dressed in Italian bed linens, Aesop bath and body products, Vifa wireless speakers and super fast WiFi. And thanks to the building’s triangular shape, every room comes with a view.

Great public spaces and restaurants inside hotel. Rough area of SF though, but can't blame hotel for that. Be prepared to call car or drive anywhere, didn't want to walk at night. Good service, but room was not fully cleaned upon arrival. Housekeeping only available upon request, but we weren't told that at check in. Great food options, probably fastest in room dining delivery I've ever had (20-25 min from tone order was placed). Rooftop bar is great.

Good hotel with great staff. It's a property that has a lot of character. The door staff, counter staff and room staff are all great. I didn't eat in the restaurants so I can't comment on those amenities. The only negative I have regarding the property is the surrounding areas have a heavy population of homeless people at all times of the day. While there were none on the actual property, they were everywhere around the block which made walking to nearby restaurants concerning. The homeless people were also very vocal at night. It was common to be woken up by the sound of homeless people loudly yelling on Market street. The hotel is a nice property but I won't likely stay here again due to the outside conditions.

The hotel doormen are the best part of this experience. Upon check in tv's did not work, the sink stopper was broken so we could not drain water and no one came for 24 hours to fix these problems....on top of this this neighborhood is some of the worst in SF- you can not walk safely day or especially night. Open drug sales, prostitutes, drug users out of their minds- It is just not worth it. If you take a Waymo as the hotel suggests it will NOT drop you at the hotel but several blocks away in a similar section of town. There are no amenities at this hotel- the rooftop is nice but extremely pricey for what you get- additionally this is the darkest hotel I have ever stayed in- Hallways, elevators, rooms- and this was a king suite- dark everywhere- living area and bath- This hotel is just NOT worth a visit......

I stayed at this hotel for a business trip so I would not have picked it. The staff were friendly and attentive, the beds were super comfy and rooms well appointed. Room service was swift. The roof bar was really nice, good cocktails and wine list. The tenderloin areas of San Francisco is tragic, don’t stay here. So many unwell homeless people. Have to get an uber to go anywhere. The hotel was very expensive and had tiny rooms. Breakfast was not included. Dark decor in rooms and lights so dim you can’t see in the wardrobe. Sorry folks not coming back
