Ka’ana Resort is truly first-class. The property is beautiful, the rooms are extremely comfortable, and the attention to detail really stands out. Housekeeping leaves fresh baked treats daily, which was such a thoughtful surprise. The front desk is always responsive and seamlessly arranged two tours plus rides to town and back, making everything effortless. Chef Cesar Rodriguez is exceptional—be sure to ask for his signature ceviche, one of the best dishes we had in Belize. And Ismael Hernandez is a bartender extraordinaire, serving up the best mojitos we’ve ever had. From the service to the atmosphere, Ka’ana left a lasting impression. We highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting the San Ignacio area.

The staff and amenities were all great! The food was outstanding and they even offer complimentary fireside shmoores every night. The rooms were well kept and surprisingly, for a hotel literally in the jungle, there were little to no bugs anywhere in our room. An occasional Mosquito but that’s it! The pool is nice and the only drawback is that they don’t have a gym. I would definitely recommend couples stay there if they are looking for a nice, quiet getaway in the jungle of Belize!

Three highlights of the stay for us: meeting the chef Cesar, eating his beef short ribs (cooked all day), and getting a deep tissue massage. Those three are reason enough to come here. But if you need more reasons: We stayed here several nights, first in a room with a plunge pool and then a room with an outdoor bathtub. Both rooms were very comfortable, perfectly clean. I preferred the room with the tub. Hot water, private setting, sounds of birds all around. We loved the beds and pillows. Nightly turndown service came with different little treats each night. We liked the fudge the best. The staff was amazing! Several people pointed out birds for us, suggested we walk through the hotel vegetable garden (where they grow their own farm-to-table produce). We saw more birds in that garden than in the jungle at Tikal! If you visit, seek out Chef Cesar and eat whatever he tells you to eat. He let us sample his pork belly tacos. Phenomenal! Thanks also to the owner, Federico, who we met at the bar one night. He is a master of conversation and hospitality.

Incredible staff! They are all VERY friendly and dedicated to making sure guests have the best time. Should note that the resort is about a 15 minute drive from the main part of town so either need to account for cost of renting a car or for taxi/hotel transport. But the place is beautiful, pool area is nice, bartender makes great drinks, and mostly the staff are just great people overall!

Ka'ana has beautiful grounds and very friendly and helpful staff. They aspire to be a world class resort, but could still use some work on consistency of delivery. Our Master Suite was very spacious and comfortable, but the very pretty courtyard and plunge pool weren't very useful to us as the weather during our stay was very wet and not that warm. There is no fridge in the room other than the mostly full minibar. We had some mechanical issues with our room near the end of our stay and they worked hard to resolve and compensate for them. The restaurant was ok, but other than breakfast the food was only ok relative to the prices. Full breakfast was actually very good. This place is a ways from town so you either need to pay them to shuttle you to town or find a taxi if you didn't arrive with a car. If you are looking for solitude, that is a plus, if you want to explore more you need to factor in transportation.
