My wife and I stayed in a suite with the splash pool to celebrate our anniversary, and the experience was 'Awesome'. The resort was peaceful, quiet, and exactly what we needed. Huge shoutout to Christian and the rest of the team — they made us feel genuinely welcomed and made our anniversary night feel truly special. The Mayan Ruins, and Big Rock Water Falls are a must see. Highly recommended!

I wanted to love this resort more than I did. It was branded as a very luxurious experience on the website, but I thought it was a little lackluster in person. The pool, for example, was unheated and quite cold even in the heat because it was hidden in a grove of trees. It was also quite small. The restaurant was also very expensive, and quite honestly I found the food to be a little bland, especially the $35 fish. My husband liked his meal, but I was underwhelmed. The room was okay, but we only had a queen bed so felt quite squished, even though it was spacious enough to fit a larger bed. I will say, the staff were friendly, and even helped us arrange a pickup with our tour group for the next day so we didn’t have to get a taxi (thanks Ethan!). All that to say, I probably wouldn’t return.

It’s nice enough, tho some of the ‘jungle’ magic is lost due to loud truck noise from adjacent highway. The food is good. I took a photo of restaurant bills as I had $ credit from booking with American Express Hotel collection. So when they printed out the stay receipt, not once, but for both dinner meals, $ had been added to the tip. I believe they advertise organic garden tours, but it’s closed/area under construction. My room was fine, though you are supposed to get a category upgrade, which didn’t happen. Pool is somewhat small, especially compared to Itz’ana sister property. Great turn down service, french press, kettle and mini fridge with room to store your own items

Ka’ana Resort is truly first-class. The property is beautiful, the rooms are extremely comfortable, and the attention to detail really stands out. Housekeeping leaves fresh baked treats daily, which was such a thoughtful surprise. The front desk is always responsive and seamlessly arranged two tours plus rides to town and back, making everything effortless. Chef Cesar Rodriguez is exceptional—be sure to ask for his signature ceviche, one of the best dishes we had in Belize. And Ismael Hernandez is a bartender extraordinaire, serving up the best mojitos we’ve ever had. From the service to the atmosphere, Ka’ana left a lasting impression. We highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting the San Ignacio area.

The staff and amenities were all great! The food was outstanding and they even offer complimentary fireside shmoores every night. The rooms were well kept and surprisingly, for a hotel literally in the jungle, there were little to no bugs anywhere in our room. An occasional Mosquito but that’s it! The pool is nice and the only drawback is that they don’t have a gym. I would definitely recommend couples stay there if they are looking for a nice, quiet getaway in the jungle of Belize!
