Beautiful view, but that’s it
Hotel Valencia in Santana Row left us pretty disappointed and underwhelmed overall. The rooftop bar views were nice, and Dani and Sebastian behind the bar were great, but that’s where the positives mostly end. The rooftop pool being closed during our stay was a big letdown since it was a major reason we booked in the first place. On top of that, the last night was frustrating, a group of high schoolers celebrating prom woke us up multiple times even after security was called. The overall guest atmosphere felt pretentious and less than welcoming, which really shaped the tone of the stay. We understand a hotel can’t control everything, but it’s worth being aware that a big part of the experience depends on the clientele you’ll be sharing spaces with, including elevators, hallways, and the pool area when it’s open. Overall, it felt like a lot of hype without the experience to match.

Beautiful hotel. But poor communication
Great hotel and most friendly staff. However a piece of our stay was the poool, solely based off reviews. Pool was closed on a nice sunny day and we’re not advised that that it was close for a while until check in

No pool, no lounge chairs, construction drilling
Stay at the Valencia Hotel if: You want a gorgeous swimming pool closed 24/7 for construction repairs. You want a beautiful swimming pool area with lounge chairs, cabanas, and food and drink service closed 24/7 for construction repairs. You want to wake up every morning at 8:00 am to construction drilling and hammering noise. You want the hotel management to refuse to cancel your reservation, and take all your money, because you no longer want to stay and sleep at a construction site.

Best Hotel Experience
I recently stayed at Hotel Valencia and it was truly the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcomed, like royalty. Every interaction was warm, genuine, and attentive. What stood out the most was how personal the experience felt. The team knew us by name and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was special. The service was seamless from start to finish, and they were extremely accommodating, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. You can tell they take pride in creating memorable stays for their guests. Because of the exceptional staff and overall experience, I’ve already decided this will be my go-to place for celebrating my birthday every year. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a hotel that truly values hospitality and makes you feel special.
