John Steinbeck wrote, oethe very air here is miraculous, and the outlines of reality change with the moment” when describing the Baja peninsula in Mexico, home to the luxurious Casa Natalia. Indeed, the white sandy beaches, crystal blue waters, and tranquil grounds of the highly rated Casa Natalia hotel offer a breath of fresh air to even the most worldly of travelers. Come and explore the myriad fish that dwell in the coral reefs of the Sea of Cortez, the rich reds and yellows of the Baja dessert, the galleries and restaurants in colonial San Jose del Cabo, and the beaches and pools for a holiday to tempt all of your senses.

Our stay was for a couple of nights and I have to say we really enjoyed it. The rooms all overlook a long ‘narrowish’ palm tree lined terrace which also has a pool. The room itself offered all we really needed and had the added bonus of a balcony which had a jacuzzi which we made use of on the first night. We also had an evening meal in the hotel’s restaurant- the Mi Cocina - which we enjoyed as we did the breakfasts that we had. The staff we met were also helpful and friendly. The hotel is on a large plaza where there is a variety of shops, some of which are very touristy but there are others that offer high class art, be it pottery, jewellery, paintings and other craft related products. The same could also be found in the side streets as well where there was also a variety of restaurants. Well worth visiting.

We loved our 4-night stay at this sweet hotel on the Plaza in San Jose. Cesar and his staff were welcoming, helpful and quick to respond to our every need. The rooms are just darling. Our second-floor superior (the Barro Room) had a little balcony where we sat and enjoyed coffee and conversation. The martini bar is a nice touch. And you can’t beat the location.

My wife and I have just returned from our third stay at Casa Natalia and we are very much looking forward to more to come. First, people. It is impossible to pick out just one or two for particular praise. Every singe one there is terrific, welcoming, friendly, helpful and all the rest. To a person. Then there are the accommodations which are very comfortable in both the rooms and the public areas--the hotel is built alongside a lovely courtyard and pool and has also a lovely outside dining room. Our rooms have always had small terraces overlooking the central area which are reallly comfortable places to just relax. And then there is the hotel location which is right on the main plaza and so only steps from loads of great restaurants and the like. Sadly the art scene in the area seems to have shriveled from our first visit which was just before covid, but there still are interesting places to explore. The I need also mention that they have a tie-in to the Hotel Garza and its beach club which is just a short Uber ride away and which is lovely, with a nice and protected beach as well as very comfortable chaises with umbrellas and a limited but very nice bar and restaurant. For a relaxing vacation we would be hard pressed to be able to recommend anywhere better, and for us Cabo is just a couple of hours away from home by air. Writing this review makes me want to go back right away and see Nathalie and her colleagues again.

Excellent experience from start to finish! We booked this hotel after a lot of research and are so happy we chose Casa Natalia. My husband and I traveled with our daughter and her partner and stayed for 5 nights. Casa Natalia staff were helpful with all of our arrangements including transfer from the airport and renting a car. We had to add an extra night at the last minute because of a winter storm in the US and they quickly helped us so we could travel in peace. Angelica, Cesar and all of the staff for both the hotel and restaurant were friendly, informative, professional, and responded promptly to every question and need we had. The rooms are beautiful and spotless. The ambiance is a special retreat with a small pool, sitting areas, artwork, landscaping, bar, restaurant, and gift shop. We stayed in a suite and enjoyed the private hot tub, terrace, and hammock. The bed was comfortable with great linens. The location is perfect -- walk out the door to the plaza and many shops and galleries. The breakfast was delicious. We had dinner in the hotel twice with welcoming waiters and wonderful food (the seafood risotto, the Argentinian flank steak, the guacamole, spicy mango martini, key lime pie, and chicken mole are remarkable). Thank you, Casa Natalia, for this home away from home. Highly recommend!

Casa Natalia is truly the cutest place to stay in San José del Cabo. It sits just on the main square, and the bright turquoise building immediately sets the tone for its vibrant and welcoming personality. The hotel has a boutique feel and offers everything you need, including a huge, comfortable bed sprinkled with fresh flowers, a modern bathroom with an excellent hot shower, and a small terrace overlooking the courtyard and pool area. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the courtyard at the restaurant Mi Cocina, and complimentary tea and coffee from the patio bar was such a lovely touch. There is also a small gift shop with beautiful locally made products. The entire ambiance feels warm and genuine, and you really sense that they want you to feel at home. They provide luggage storage, which was perfect for us when we arrived early and again at checkout. We spent the extra time relaxing in the large double hammocks by the pool before heading to the airport. The staff were accommodating, friendly and incredibly helpful throughout our stay, greeting us with a lemon drink and a hot towel on arrival. We stayed on the second level, and although there is no lift, carrying our bags up one flight of stairs was no issue. Highly recommended if you are looking for an authentic and charming stay in the heart of San José del Cabo. We will definitely stay again
