Viceroy Los Cabos

Viceroy exceeded our expectations! The resort and location were top notch, but what really made the trip exceptional was the attentive staff. Both Mariana and Alexander were attentive to all of our needs. Febe and Rosa exceptional as well. We will be back.

We booked a room that was suppose to have a full ocean view but half of our room view was the resort. Our balcony jacuzzi had broken jets. We told the resort we were celebrating a birthday and hired a butler, however they did not accommodate anything special. Even when we ordered room service, the butler did not bring it. The resort applied a delivery service fee when food was delivered. Our assumption was the butler would be doing that since we paid up front. The butler did not make any attempt to make reservations for us anywhere. We asked repeatedly what tasks do the butlers normally do and the reply was "to help the staff". It was completely different from every other butler we have hired before. The water between the buildings was clean. You can not get in the ocean at anytime do to a constant riptide. We felt the noise level was acceptable and did not bother us. We did not find the value and relaxing vacation that we were seeking.

I cannot say enough about this great hotel. From the moment we were picked up from the airport to when we arrived at the property, the experience and service were great. The property is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are spacious, modern, and provide beautiful views. We had two hosts assigned to us (Jacob and Victor), and they were absolutely amazing. They checked in with us every day throughout the day to see if we needed anything and quickly responded to any request that we had. They also assisted with booking dinner reservations. They were the best and made our stay that much better. They are a true asset to Viceroy Los Cabos. We would definitely stay at this property again and highly recommend it to others visiting Cabo.

A group of seven of us ladies booked spa appointments at Viceroy. The service from the time I booked our appointments online through the entire experience the day of was thoroughly attentive and absolutely wonderful. They notified us to come an hour early so that we could enjoy the full amenities of the spa. Upon our arrival, the staff greeted us with warm welcomes and explained the amenities we were welcome to use prior to our services. It was an amazing hour of relaxation prior to our scheduled service with masks and scrubs that accompanied the Dry sauna, Steam room, Jacuzzi, Cold plunge and Vitality pool. Healthy snacks, flavored water and green tea were available in the waiting area which we were escorted to a short time before our service and where we were sent to relax post-service. Five of us booked massages (Deep Tissue and Relaxation/Swedish) while the other two had 90 minute Sublime Lift Facial. Each one of us had an extremely relaxing service and considered this to be one of the best experiences we had ever had. Some of us have been to One & Only Pamilla and we felt this definitely surpassed our experience at a more reasonable price! Definitely one we will never forget!

First stay at the Viceroy. What a beautiful property. First of all it's visually stunning and captivating with the water and the nests. The building were set in such a way that most rooms have an excellent view. The service is outstanding. Upon arrival we were assigned two butlers: Israel and Alexis who immediately set up a WhatsApp chat group and pinged us frequently to see what we needed. I had already made reservations so we didn't end up needing much help but they were available from 7AM-10PM daily for any whim. The pools are spread out over a few levels and you never feel like you're 10 people deep away from a pool. I appreciate the solitude and serenity the property provides. The resort is only 3.6 miles from downtown San Jose which was about a $4 Uber ride. Super simple and fast every time we used it The only minor issue that I experienced and read about on TA is the tipping. Many of the checks at on property restaurants/bar show 'servicio' charge of 15%. When I first arrived we ate at the restaurant on floor 1 beneath the reception. I asked our server Karen who said the servicio charge didn't get to the waiters and she needed me to add additional gratuity for her. Not knowing better I did that. Come to find out the service line is for included gratuity. Onto the butlers. I wish there were guidelines provided by the resort on how to tip the butlers. Front desk explained there is no policy and it's really up to the guests to decide... Makes it hard to know if I overtipped ($20/butler/day) or undertipped. Either way minor issue but I wouldn't want the staff to think we're being rude--a little guidance would go a long way here.
