Viceroy Los Cabos

Victor and Jacob were amazing at helping us organize a fantastic girls trip! We will be back!

My girlfriend and I just returned from this property located in San Jose del Cabo. First travel tip for first timers, San Jose del Cabo is NOT Cabo San Lucas, they are very different and approximately 45 minutes away from each other by auto. San Jose del Cabo is much less dense and relaxing, while still offering amazing ocean views and access. Anyway, the Viceroy is a beautiful property which is impeccably maintained in all areas. Our guest room was spacious, ultra modern, with one of the most comfortable beds we have experienced on vacation. There are multiple pools on property, so you can mix it up from day to day or even within the same day! There are a number of dining options, and all of the ones we tried were excellent, from a service and quality of food perspective. We had breakfast everyday at Caseros, which had a wide array of traditional and local flavors. For example, I was introduced to Machaca (shaved dried beef) with eggs and now I am researching where I can buy some here in the US! Cielomar is an open-air rooftop restaurant, which offers an incredible atmosphere with excellent food. And Nido is a Japanese style restaurant set in a very unique “nest” structure, with great food. The real differentiator for Viceroy in our view is the quality and consistency of the entire guest facing staff. To begin, on the first day, we were introduced to Oscar and Laura, our “hosts” for our stay. They created a group text which made it incredibly easy to ask questions and make requests, literally from 7am to 11 pm. They were so knowledgeable and attentive, they made our stay that much more enjoyable. Beyond that, Yair and Karinn at Casero’s, Martin at Cielomar, Abraham at Nido, and a bunch of guys at Nidita (Gigi, Cesar, Ignacio, Giovanni) really make staying there an amazing experience. We would certainly recommend it!!!

Possibly the best hotel/resort we have ever visited. Our first time in San Jose Cabo makes me sad I had never been there before - and the Viceroy is indescribably delicious. The views, service, food and vibe are unmatched. It is a special place!

We just got back from Viceroy Los Cabos after staying in a 5-bedroom beachfront villa and wow — what a trip. Waking up steps from the ocean every day never got old. The location is absolutely perfect — peaceful, no noise, just pure relaxation. The villa was spotless every single day without fail, the spa was incredible, the tequila tasting was a blast, and honestly for everything you get, the value was really impressive. But Victor and Jacob completely stole the show. They even decorated the villa for our birthday boy which was such a thoughtful touch — totally unexpected and made the whole trip feel extra special. Having personal hosts sounds fancy until you actually experience what it means when they’re this good at it. These two had a gift for showing up right when you needed something before you even thought to ask. Fresh drinks? Done. Reservations sorted? Already on it. They remembered little preferences from day one and ran with them the whole stay without us ever having to repeat ourselves. What really got us though was how genuine they were. It never felt like a script or a performance — they were just warm, attentive people who clearly took pride in what they do. That’s rare. You can train someone on the tasks but you can’t train that kind of personality. If you’re heading to Viceroy Los Cabos, specifically request Victor and Jacob. You’ll thank yourself later. These guys are the real reason we’re already looking at dates to go back.
