Hotel El Convento

We popped in for a drink in the colonial courtyard. It was cool, in both senses. Drink prices are reasonable for a quality hotel and it was lovely to sit in an oasis of calm away from the hussel and bussel of the old town. If i had to stay in San Juan, I'd stay here!

Good 4* in a great location. Loved the complimentary tea, coffee and water. Pool overlooks main cathedral. Friendly staff, room good. The only downside is humidity - it is either freezing from the Aircon or humid. My hair didn't dry the 48hours I was there. All my clothes were moist. Didn't eat there.

A lovely hotel, very old and beautiful in a great location in old San Juan Thank you to Juan C in the dining room who was charming, polite, efficient and a pleasure to talk to.

Very good experience. Made friends with many of the staff there, especially our breakfast waiter Juan L. He's a super friendly warm guy!
