Hotel Maria Cristina, a Luxury Collection Hotel, San Sebastian

As a very frequent traveler, who spends nearly 100 nights a year in a hotel, it is very rare for me to be surprised by a hotel stay. My stay at the hotel Maria Christina in San Sebastian was remarkable in every way. From the doorman to the front desk-staff, to the waitresses in the restaurant and the maids, the hotel was absolutely top-notch. My wife and I were fortunate enough to have been upgraded, and our room was sensational with a view towards the ocean and the river that flows through San Sebastián. The staff was always friendly, and eager to share recommendations. Yoellis, a receptionist, was particularly helpful. She assisted us throughout our stay and assisted my wife by The hotel is perfectly located to explore the city.

A true five-star experience. From our entry when Darren the valet helped our daughter immediately felt welcome (chocolate never hurts!) to our exit when a call to room service mentioning we had a time constraint to make a flight led to the front desk person proactively getting our car pulled around, the Maria Cristina raises the bar in terms of hospitality. This is a large, full-service hotel but the tiny touches like the staff consistently recognizing and interacting with our daughter made all the difference. We'll be back!

Our stay at Maria Cristina, a Marriott Luxury Collection Hotel in San Sebastián, was truly one of the most memorable hotel experiences we have ever had. From the moment we arrived, every team member made us feel genuinely welcome. The front desk team, valet team, and housekeeping team were all exceptional. Couldnt afford the room rates anyway wanted sea view which they dont have! Opted for their top end Buffet Breakfast and went a la carte. What a fantastic experience,wonderful crab and truffle omelettes superb pinxtos and pastries all washed down with cava and coffee and served impecably.

We absolutely adored our stay at Hotel Maria Cristina. From the moment we arrived, the staff made our family feel genuinely welcome. Everyone was warm and kind to our little kids, but the bellmen were especially wonderful. A special thank you to Andres, who was incredible throughout our stay. Our children looked for him every day and were always excited to see him. The location is perfect for exploring San Sebastián, with everything easily accessible on foot. Our family room was incredibly spacious, giving us plenty of room to relax and unwind. The in-room amenities were thoughtful and high quality, making our stay even more comfortable. The gym was surprisingly well-equipped, far better than what you typically find in a hotel, and the lobby coffee bar was a welcome treat after morning runs around the city. Every detail of our stay reflected the hotel’s exceptional hospitality. We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend Hotel Maria Cristina to families visiting San Sebastián.
