Hotel Maria Cristina, a Luxury Collection Hotel, San Sebastian

An outstanding hotel in every respect.Great facility and rooms,impeccable service, great breakfast we couldn't fault anything. One of the top three hotels I have stayed in Europe.

Outstanding hotel reeking of history which makes it special and they back it up with a fantastic team, great restaurants and a cool cocktail bar. We enjoyed the Saigon restaurant and the cocktail bar in particular and breakfast was fantastic. Right up there with the St Regis Venice as a go to place.

One of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed in the staff are all a credit to the Hotel, especially on front of desk / concierge area. The room was lovely and clean and very comfortable. Great shower in the bathroom. Breakfast is also highly recommended. Hope to be back as soon as possible, thank you all.

I was blown away by the level of thoughtful service at this hotel. They always had fresh umbrellas when it rained, the found a vase for the flowers I brought back for my wife from the market, working with the concierge was a breeze, and it really felt like the staff anticipated the needs of my family. The breakfast was great, the bartenders made great drinks and were very charming, and room service always arrive on time and hot. The location is great, the rooms are spacious, and this property is in the upper echelon of places I’ve stayed at in Europe. I’m pretty picky when it comes to hotels. The service at this place is on par with a Four Seasons. Highly, highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful luxury hotel along the river in San Sebastián is well located. The rooms are spacious and elegant with beautiful views. The beds are very comfortable. There is no coffee maker or iron/ironing board in the room. Don’t let that bother you because a quick call to the front desk and both will be delivered to your room! I was very surprised that the breakfast buffet is not the best at this five-star luxury hotel - everything that should be hot is not (not even the coffee) and of course I don’t care for runny eggs and this hotel’s scrambled eggs are more like soup. I’ve stayed in many three and four star hotels here in Spain with far superior breakfast offerings. At least the pastries and breads are good. You can always order from the menu which has a much better selection. The hotel bar called Dry has a nice selection but do try their version of a Negroni! It’s really refreshing. You can walk to everything from this hotel and it’s very safe. Award-winning pinxtos to be found in old town close to the gate to La Concha beach at a place called Muxumartin. Try the scallops with green curry and wakame as well as the yummy pressed beef sandwich! Outstanding!
