Hotel Maria Cristina, a Luxury Collection Hotel, San Sebastian

My second stay this summer, this is a wonderful Hotel ticks all the boxes for me I just want to say thank you to a few members of staff for their kind and considerate help. Alejo for sorting my room out for me Mariana always very helpful Juan on the front door always has time to speak and ask. Is there anything I need? Mandeep and supervising lady at breakfast always very helpful. I look forward to returning sometime in the future thank you all for a wonderful day as I said at the start of my review this Hotel takes all the boxes so stay here if you want to have a start your wonderful time in San Sebastian with the best hospitality and rooms

Beautiful property reminded me of Plaza Athene in Paris. Eccellent service.However, it is a bit on the expensive side.Room are spacious though they a bit lack lighting as the windows are narrow

What an incredible experience staying at the Hotel Maria Cristina—truly the crown jewel of our time in San Sebastián. The stunning breakfast buffet was a daily delight, and the front desk manager went above and beyond by sending champagne to help us celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. As Virtuoso travelers and Platinum Elite Marriott members, they were kind to give us an incredible uprgraded room. From the moment we walked in, we felt like we were living in a palace. We enjoyed evening cocktails at the hotel bar, including one of the best Moscow mules we've ever had! Our sincere thanks to the entire team—the gracious front desk manager, the dapper and courteous concierge, the talented bartender, and the warm and attentive breakfast staff—for making this such a special and unforgettable stay.

The Maria Cristina is a lovely hotel in the central region of the lively town. An ideal location for a visit to San Sebastian. Great location to walk to everything - the beach (la Concha), old town, everywhere. The hotel has a very elegant feel — rich and luxurious. But somehow not very friendly or welcoming - a bit aloof. (Particularly for Spain which is otherwise so warm.) The rooms are nice and well sound proofed. Oddly shaped and the bathroom a bit on the small side. The bed is not very comfortable. Overall, it was nice but not exceptionally so. Perhaps we were biased by the fact that in our previous visit (which oddly they did not seem to know about) we had an exceptional room. And this time we had a nice/adequate room.

An outstanding hotel in every respect.Great facility and rooms,impeccable service, great breakfast we couldn't fault anything. One of the top three hotels I have stayed in Europe.
