“A Slice of Heaven”

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 19 hours ago

My most amazing husband took me to the dreamy “Vik” for my birthday and it was beyond phenomenal. We had never been to Chile, since we love wine and food and after much research we thought this was the place to go and it was magical indeed. By happenstance we were afforded with the best room in the resort. Each and every room has its own charm and theme and you get what you get and you will not regret. We got the “Vik”, which was beyond compare it was sooo amazing. It was the owners favorite, that is why our room was called the “Vik”. It has floor to ceiling windows and you have a view to the vast wilderness of mountains streams and wild horses. It doesn’t even seem real. Now for everything else. We had no idea how incredible the “Vik” was going to be. The website does not to it justice. All the restaurants were vastly different, yet all beyond exceptional. Every restaurant is fine dining and each and every morsel was scrumptious and was paired with the perfect wine from their own award winning wines. It was all delightful. The “Vik” resort was awarded the number “1” wine resort in the world a few years ago. If you wish to have a world class experience this is for you. I have never been to such an extraordinary place, it is like a slice of heaven. Every wine and bite of food is from here, since it is farm to table. The staff are all beyond amazing and are beautiful inside and out. We loved Rodrigo, Daniela, Martin, Agnocio, Tomas, Pablo, Javier, Javiera, Cladio, Isidora, Franco, Valaria, and the beautiful Sous chef, Hania who surprised us on our last night with a special pizza, she was so wonderful, beautiful and thoughtful. It is no wonder why the “Vik”won the best wine resort in the world. This was by far the best birthday of my life and the best wine experience ever. It was worth the long trip from Southern California, where we do have great wine, however, there is no wine experience to match the Vik. I/we love love love this place. The minute you are dropped off you are in a gorgeous magical place it is a gem. The “Vik” is a bucket place list.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🍷🍷🍷

Great Visit - Thanks to the Incredible Team at Vik!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Our 3-night stay at Vik Chile was nothing short of perfection. While the architecture and views are world-class, it was the exceptional team members who truly went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The food was absolutely fantastic, and we were so impressed by how effortlessly they accommodated allergies and preferences. A huge thank you to our amazing servers—Daniela, Rodrigo, Jorge, Isadora, and Constanza—for their flawless service. We also loved the lower-level bar; Elias and Esteban provided a great atmosphere, and I can personally vouch that Elias makes a world-class Manhattan! We spent a lot of time exploring the property and were never bored. Camilla at Vik Zero was wonderful, and Javier led a fascinating garden tour that gave us such great insight into their "zero-mile" philosophy. For relaxation, Pricilla provided a truly fantastic massage that was the highlight of our spa visit. You cannot stay here without visiting the winery. Our tasting with Javiera was so informative; she made learning about Vik’s unique blends engaging and fun. We also braved horseback riding—and even though we have zero training, Tomas, Ignacio, and Felipe made us feel completely safe. Watching the sunset from horseback was a core memory for us! From the start, the service was top-tier. Marciano, our driver from the Santiago airport, kept us so well-entertained that the two-hour drive flew by. Once on-site, Javier was our go-to driver for getting around the property; he was always friendly, attentive, and right there when we needed him. Our rooms were beautifully appointed and comfortable, but again, it’s the people who make this place a "Place of Gold." The wine, food, and ambiance are all 10/10, but the staff is what makes Vik Chile a must-visit. We highly recommend it!

Interesting

Just stayed there for a couple of nights. It was OK, nice but totally in the middle of no where. Did the horseback riding, nice vineyards. The food was very good, the service was also very good. The rooms? The open shower was absolutely frightening. No grab bars. water everywhere on marble floors. Slippery? An understatement. We had to lay towels on the bathroom floor just to survive it. The rooms themselves were fairly spartan, I would not consider them luxury. All in all, nice to see but .....

Best Valentine’s Day weekend

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We had a fabulous Valentine’s Day weekend here. Everything was top notch - food, wine, service, art, architecture. The rooms are very comfortable. We stayed in the EDO bungalow - stunning. We highly recommend this property and all it has to offer.

Unique experience, but needs some work

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

Vik Chile is a very unique place. The food was exquisite, gourmet quality. The view is beautiful. However, there are no TVs in the hotel rooms and there is absolutely no accommodation for disabled guests. My wife could not walk up the front steps at first, and they had to take her out the service entrance in order to get to the car to see the property. The hotel manager and staff did a great job of trying to accommodate my wife in this manner, but the property badly needs to be retrofitted to be accessible to disabled guests. They are aware.
