Magical resort. Rooms are spacious and clean. Amazing views from the Rio Lounge. We enjoyed drinks and great nachos there. We walked the beautiful trails in the Bosque. I wish I could live there!

Quiet and relaxing vibe, good food and drink along with pleasant staff. Clean and comfortable room. Location is off the beaten path but close enough to other attractions and amenities.

We stayed at Hyatt Regency Tamaya from October 3–5 to celebrate both our anniversary and birthday, and it truly turned into one of the most memorable weekends we’ve had in a long time. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by the peaceful beauty of New Mexico — the warm adobe-style buildings, mountain views, and the serene atmosphere immediately set the tone. Even though the weekend was very busy with a wedding and the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, the staff managed to make our stay feel calm and personal. We were hoping for a suite upgrade as Globalists, but since everything was sold out, it wasn’t possible — yet what happened instead was even more special. Adam Dodge (Associate Director of Operations) and Claudia Wattenberg (General Manager) went above and beyond to make sure we still felt celebrated. When we walked into our room, we found a beautiful surprise — a chilled bottle of Gruet champagne on ice, delicious snacks, and thoughtful welcome gifts. The next day, another wonderful surprise awaited us — a large, beautifully arranged charcuterie board with cheeses, crackers, olives, dried fruits, nuts, and a bottle of Malbec wine. Everything was presented with such care that it really felt like we were being treated as family, not just guests. One of the most relaxing moments of our stay was at the Tamaya Spa. The atmosphere there is incredibly peaceful — earthy tones, natural decor, and a warm, genuine sense of calm. We weren’t aware that Globalists receive complimentary spa access, but it was such a pleasant surprise to learn that. After enjoying some peaceful time at the spa and soaking in the outdoor hot tub under the blue sky, Olivia from the spa staff came to us with a small gift bag of skincare treats — including Eminence samples, bath salt, a steam eye mask, and even a few little extras like tea and lip balm. It was such a sweet and personal touch that left a lasting impression. Throughout our stay, every corner of the resort reflected thoughtful design — from the cozy lobby with its Santa Ana Café mural, to the rustic decor, Native-inspired rugs and artwork, and even the small touches like infused water with lemon and mint near the spa. Everything had that authentic Southwestern charm that makes this property so unique. Breakfast was nice, and we especially appreciated Jacqueline, who stopped by to ask how we were enjoying our meal — she was so warm and kind, and it truly felt genuine. The buffet had a good selection, though many dishes were on the spicy side (understandably, this is New Mexico!). For guests who don’t eat spicy food, a few milder choices would be appreciated, but everything was fresh and beautifully presented. All in all, our weekend at Hyatt Regency Tamaya was filled with kindness, beauty, and memorable moments. The setting is breathtaking, the spa is pure relaxation, and the staff — especially Adam, Claudia, Olivia, and Jacqueline — made us feel truly cared for. Even without the suite upgrade, their hospitality made our celebration feel every bit as special. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already looking forward to coming back. If you’re looking for a place that combines nature, culture, and heartfelt service, Tamaya is that place. 🌅💛

We have a thing...a positive thing for Hyatt Regency Resorts. Each are excellent and offer unique local experiences. The Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa truly hit it out of the ballpark. First, the property is breathtakingly beautiful. After departing from the main road, you drive down a winding road (with cool switchbacks,) that leads to the property…which I believe sits on over 550 acres of Tamayame land on the Santa Ana Pueblo. At first glance the building looks small and one-level...which is deceiving. There are plenty of huge lavender bushes throughout the property...the smell is amazing. Upon entering the lobby, you are gently ensconced in Native American culture: artifacts, artwork, the wafting, yet subtle scent of incense, and gracious hospitality. Drew wanted the best mountain views the resort offered...so our room...#2121, had direct Sandia Mountains views...which was epic. Our room was huge with awesome New Mexican artwork, a lovely living room/sitting area, beautiful marble bathroom, plenty of space to spread out and unwind. The balcony /terrace was where we spent time together first thing in the morning and when we got back from our daily adventures. The mountains in the morning are purple then turn pinkish and back again to purple by late afternoon. Breathtaking. The property has three swimming pools...one for adults, and an adult-only spa...which we used in the evening after horseback riding earlier that morning. You must...Must go horseback riding. At the Tamaya Horse Rehab, the horses are all rescue and rehab horses, and the fees go to the charity that rescues these beauties. My gentle beauty was named Bella...she lived up to her name. Drew does not recall his horse’s name but he...the horse was stunning. Our guide was awesome. For an hour and half, I felt truly connected to Mother-Earth and my horse. Epic. Directly across from our room is the Cottonwood Bosque Trail which beautifully meanders under dense cottonwood trees down to the Rio Grande. On our late morning journey, we saw a family of deer. Epic. As for food, the first morning, we had breakfast at the Santa Ana Cafe...we sat outside under the covered patio. Drew and I both ordered their famed Blue Corn pancakes...which he liked...I thought they were very dry. Also, the service was slow. For two evenings we decided to have cocktails at the Rio Grande Lounge/Patio, which offers an amazing patio view of the Sandia Mountains. The first time, we enjoyed our cocktails while taking in the amazing sunset. A couple of days later we decided to stay for dinner. The drinks were good but food which was fine just did not compete with the views. Oh!!! The resort has this cool event every single night: Smores. There are numerous firepits where you can make your own tasty Smores...cool. And do not even bother to bring shampoo, conditioners, moisture lotions with you because the Tamaya resort products are awesome…the moisture lotion was a life saver for my dried out skin. That all said, if you are seeking a tranquil escape from your reality that offers an amazing Native American and New Mexican cultural experience along with nature at its most epic; along with beautiful horses and other wildlife, then this is place for you.

Amazing experience at this Hyatt resort that exceeded our expectations. I was traveling with my wife and 1.5 year old daughter. The pools were very kid friendly. There were horses on the property. The daily activities were easy to engage in. And the views and landscape was incredible. Finally, the staff were beyond friendly and the hotel, including room, were immaculate. We will be back again.
