About the Hotel

Hotel Mongibello Ibiza captures the glamour of 1960s Italian Riviera living through a distinctly Ibizan lens, creating a sophisticated escape inspired by “Dolce Far Niente,” the art of doing nothing beautifully. Set directly on the waterfront in Santa Eulalia with private beach access, the hotel blends retro Mediterranean elegance with contemporary luxury, from its sun-drenched pool terraces to interiors filled with vintage-inspired details and curated design touches. The rooms and suites are especially memorable, many offering sweeping sea views, furnished balconies, and expansive terraces designed for lingering Aperol-filled afternoons. Signature suites elevate the experience further with rooftop terraces, Gazebo showers overlooking the Mediterranean, Marshall Bluetooth speakers, premium bath amenities, cocktail service, and thoughtful touches like turndown service and in-room breakfast, all crafted to immerse guests in the hotel’s playful yet refined atmosphere.

Beyond the rooms, the hotel embraces the social spirit of Ibiza with stylish spaces designed for long lunches, sunset cocktails, and late-night music. Sorella Ristorante brings an elevated Italian dining experience to the island, while Sorella Terrazza offers panoramic Mediterranean views ideal for aperitivo hour. Guests can also spend evenings at Lola’s, the hotel’s velvet-lined cocktail club inspired by Ibiza’s legendary nightlife scene.

Reviews for Hotel Mongibello Ibiza

Mongibello - you didn't disappoint!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Will summarise this briefly - hotel is absolutely amazing, stunning. Staff are a credit to the Hotel. With our room came a complementary pick up from the airport and Jose was a star, chatting away the whole journey and with an offering of iced water too!! Every member of the team we met were absolute stars! We stayed in a terrace suite. If you can, stay in one of these suites, you won't be disappointed. We were in Room 134 overlooking the pool and sea, with the DJ decks directly below us. There was music playing all day and most afternoons the DJ took over. Music was very chilled and not invasive. It was so chilled it put us in a complete trance whilst relaxing on our sunny terrace. Breakfast was amazing, all fresh, high quality produce. We had lunch in the hotel every day and with a jug of sangria it didn't disappoint. We stayed for four nights and I wish we'd have stayed for longer, even if it was just to be able to visit Lola's, the secret speakeasy behind the beautifully tiled walls. Yes as previous reviews mention you do have to pay for absolutely everything, but there is a small shop across the road if you want to stock up on water, snacks etc. Lovely bed, pillows, towels and toiletries in the room. Don't take my word for it, get yourself booked into the Mongibello!

Mixed feelings

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Mixed feelings. Positive points : friendly staff, excellent breakfast, suite (upgrade 770€/week), new equipment in gym, location on a small beach but close to santa eulalia, confy seating at the swimming pool with nice views. Strong recommendation for improvement: the hotel charges for everything which leaves a bitter taste and destroyes the good vibe (the coffee at the breakfast not from the machine should be included, this avoids confusion and discussion, we paid for the upgrade but still have to pay 50€ to keep the room till 3pm on checkout day, really ?. Second they try to create an italian vibe but the beattles, dalida and elvis presley the whole day very very loud everywhere is over the top, decrease the volume and add more loungy ibiza vibes. Third for the price you pay here you would expect a heated pool. Finally on the second day we got stuck in the lift and had to crawl out after 30 minutes. We will not be coming back here.

Lovely stay in the suite - with some tweaks recommended

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I recently stayed at Mongibello Ibiza and overall really enjoyed my stay. It’s a beautiful, stylish hotel with a relaxed boutique feel. Definitely more “Instagrammable luxury” than true five-star service, but I would absolutely return. I stayed in one of the suites and for me the upgrade was 100% worth it for the balcony alone. It was huge, private and became one of my favourite parts of the trip. The room itself was spotless and very comfortable, with an amazing dressing gown that I genuinely wanted to take home. The bed was also extremely comfortable, although blackout blinds would have made sleep even better. Some of the nicest touches were actually unexpected — the protein drinks by the pool were delicious, and the room service cocktail I ordered was genuinely excellent. The gym was also far better than expected for a hotel gym, although stronger air conditioning would really help during workouts. The standout service came from the airport transfer driver, who I believe was called Andres. He was incredibly warm and welcoming and honestly gave the best hospitality experience of the trip. He even came to say goodbye when I left! The location was also really convenient. I walked to the marina multiple times within around 10–20 minutes, and the area felt peaceful and easy to get around. There were a few downsides that stopped the stay from feeling truly luxury. Reception staff rarely greeted guests when entering or leaving the hotel, which made the atmosphere feel less welcoming than expected. Despite staying in a suite, there wasn’t really any elevated or personalised service, and although the suite advertised “cocktail service” on the balcony, this was never mentioned at check-in or during my stay. The breakfast buffet could also be improved — the hot food was consistently lukewarm. I’d definitely recommend ordering eggs directly from the chef instead. Water bottles and tea bags in the room also weren’t replenished. Lola’s cocktail bar is gorgeous aesthetically, but much smaller than it appears in photos. The hotel restaurant also lacked atmosphere during my stay — one evening I was literally the only diner there. The pool atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, although the weather during my stay was overcast so it’s hard to judge the usual vibe fully. There was a DJ playing throughout the day, though the music was fairly average. Thankfully my suite speaker setup was better! At night the hotel was very peaceful and quiet, although mornings could get noisy once housekeeping started moving around due to squeaky doors in the corridors. Overall though, I’d still recommend Mongibello. The design is stunning, the suites are fantastic, cleanliness standards were excellent throughout, and it feels like a calmer, more refined side of Ibiza. If the service became a little more polished and attentive, it could be exceptional.

Lovely hotel, the five star rating is generous

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

I would highly recommend this hotel given how aesthetically pleasing it is and the lovely staff. We stayed for three nights (couple, late 30s) and enjoyed the chilled/calming stay but there are a few things which really surprised us! Positives: - the staff are incredible, super friendly and attentive. The staff that mop/clean the communal areas in the morning did an amazing job, the hotel is very very clean. The bar and towel staff are also super efficient and welcoming! - the overall vibe (decor, concept, music) is great and was one of the main reasons I booked the hotel. The pool and views are beautiful. Nice little flower pots everywhere and the sunbeds/umbrellas are great. - the location is great for a chilled long weekend, we walked to the local town everyday for dinner. The ocean view and the ability to walk down to the beach is lovely. Would highly recommend waking up for sunrise and sitting by the pavilion. - breakfast was a big surprise, very nice food selection and the views at 8am are nice with the sun coming up! The breakfast room is very bright and spacious. - the gym is lovely, lots of techno gym equipment but it’s very small/crowded. Choose your timing well! ****Areas of improvement**** - coffee: during breakfast, the self service coffee machine is awful but annoyingly is the only option included for free with breakfast. If you want a proper warm, barista style coffee - you have to pay ( there’s even a separate menu for it!). - snooker/pool: you have to pay 2 euros to play - firstly who carries coins and secondly not sure why there’s a need to charge people at a five star hotel. - yoga/activities: unfortunately the Saturday yoga didn’t take place when we stayed - a shame! Having more adult orientated activities like yoga, stretching or wellbeing orientated would go down well given the target clientele! The “DJ” in April beside the pool was disappointing. - sun beds are packed like sardines: be careful stepping in and around the beds. Everything is so close to each other. Would recommend moving 15% of the beds! - room amenities: we requested an iron and it arrived practically in two pieces ( not very safe!). Basic stuff like cotton buds and ear buds had to be requested. For a five star hotel, it felt like an unnecessary request/waste of time.

Beautiful hotel, great cocktails

Beautiful hotel, lovely location. Really nice breakfast. Rooms are spacious. Very Instagrammable location. Not too far away for livelier parts of Ibiza. Only issue is they could do with offering room service all night when many guests get in late and hungry.
