About the Hotel

Hotel Mongibello Ibiza captures the glamour of 1960s Italian Riviera living through a distinctly Ibizan lens, creating a sophisticated escape inspired by “Dolce Far Niente,” the art of doing nothing beautifully. Set directly on the waterfront in Santa Eulalia with private beach access, the hotel blends retro Mediterranean elegance with contemporary luxury, from its sun-drenched pool terraces to interiors filled with vintage-inspired details and curated design touches. The rooms and suites are especially memorable, many offering sweeping sea views, furnished balconies, and expansive terraces designed for lingering Aperol-filled afternoons. Signature suites elevate the experience further with rooftop terraces, Gazebo showers overlooking the Mediterranean, Marshall Bluetooth speakers, premium bath amenities, cocktail service, and thoughtful touches like turndown service and in-room breakfast, all crafted to immerse guests in the hotel’s playful yet refined atmosphere.

Beyond the rooms, the hotel embraces the social spirit of Ibiza with stylish spaces designed for long lunches, sunset cocktails, and late-night music. Sorella Ristorante brings an elevated Italian dining experience to the island, while Sorella Terrazza offers panoramic Mediterranean views ideal for aperitivo hour. Guests can also spend evenings at Lola’s, the hotel’s velvet-lined cocktail club inspired by Ibiza’s legendary nightlife scene.

An amazing hotel and staff

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

We stayed at the hotel for four days, which was absolutely amazing on arrival. We were met with really lovely staff at the front desk who got us water and a fresh towel as we had been travel. Quite late at night we then went to our room which was a Sweet and it was absolutely amazing beautiful decor two sinks so we didn’t have to share our shower toilet separate and a massive telly on the wall with a city and a bed that you could have fit four people in and the view from the balcony was overlooking the sea. Beautiful to wake up to breakfast was really good as well there was a large of continental English breakfast fruit also you could’ve had salmon eggs Benedict and all made fresh for you by the chef as you waited. The staff were absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The loungers were comfortable and you could have a double one or singles and you were given towels so you didn’t have to use your own all you had to do was put your hand up as someone around the pool would come and get your drinks and food if you wanted it the staff were really grey, especially Oscar Patrick and Sara. There was a entrance at the back of the hotel to a small private beach which was shared by a few hotels at the back of the building with a lovely little restaurant shack there which you could get tapas style food and also alcohol if you wanted it sunbeds and an umbrella were €30 for the day the sound was lovely going into the sea was a little bit stony but once you got past that bit the water was so warm and clear Fish swimming around you as you swam. You could walk into town where there are shops and many restaurants along the parade which were really nice, but we found a really lovely restaurant in town which we used by the locals and the food was great and not expensive and everyone that we encountered was so friendly and helpful. We did visit the hippie market one evening which is about 20 minutes. Drive away from the hotel. great if you love arts and crafts and also in the middle a rave going on people dancing and you could also get drinks there and a taxi rank just outside to get back again. Going to Ibiza with something I always wanted to do and the parts that we saw were absolutely beautiful and hopefully one day I will go back because it was such a chilled relaxed atmosphere everyone is on Ibiza time which they don’t rush but if you want a relaxing holiday on this part of the island make sure you go there we did go in the school term so there wasn’t that many children about the hotel didn’t have any children there at all but I don’t think it is classed as adult only but there wasn’t really any entertainment or anything for children to do so if you have got young children or teenagers there wasn’t much for them to do at this hotel. It was more for a relaxing chilled out time which we had and was absolutely amazing so thank you again everyone at the hotel you made our stay absolutely great. Xxx

It was just ‘fine’

It’s certainly not an awful or unpleasant hotel but it is not, by any stretch of the imagination, a 5 star hotel. I’d say it’s a mediocre 4 star. Whilst the common areas are very instagrammable and everywhere is very clean. The rooms are quite basic, with no provision of free water. The turndown service is simply that; your duvet turned down and towels replenished. The security deposit is the highest I have been charged in any hotel, anywhere - €200 per room, per night. Check in was friendly although there was some faff around confirmation numbers as we had booked via a third party (lastminute.com). The location is lovely, overlooking a small, calm cove and an easy 15 minute walk into Santa Eulàlia along the promenade which was very clean and well maintained. There is a small supermarket, deli and a lovely restaurant right opposite the gates of the hotel.

Not quite 5 star yet .

Hotel Mongibello is set in a beautiful. bay within easy walking distance to santa Eularia resort centre . There is access to the beach through a gate at the back ( this is now locked and can be opened with your door pass but it was very hit and miss if it would work ) If you like snorkling there is a lot of fish to see in the bay . I have stayed here two times previously and was very satisfied , so I was expecting improvements to meet the 5 star rating and increased price point. It did not fully meet my expectations. Check in took a long time , we were told we could upgrade for £200 euros . We declined and was then told our room wasn’t actually ready that was why we were offered a upgrade . There is a courtesy bathroom and that was not offered initially. A new charge of £1000 euros has been implemented this year and had to be paid by credit card , we were told it was incase we used the mini bar and would be returned at check out . Ourroom was kept spotlessly clean , the bed was turned down at night which was a new service The room was in need of some updating now . The bottom of bathroom door was badly water damaged . The mini bar had a very limited selection , mainly soft drinks . The corridor carpets were stained and bleached in many places . At one point during our weeks stay a block of concrete appeared for a couple of days at top of stairs , not sure why . Only one lift worked for part of the week . The breakfast was excellent , with plenty of choice and lovely areas both inside and out to sit and eat .The lady staff member who greeted us each day was so friendly and helpful. Staff were overall pleasant and helpful , however on one occasion a team leader reprimanded two members of staff.loudly next to the sun beds . The pool area has plenty of beds and lovely sea views but it was not as clean as previous years with green marks around top of pool . The floating pool bed was ripped and dirty , this was changed for a new one near the end of our stay . Checkout was efficient , but we were presented with a bill for services we had not had . I think that giving room number for drinks etc can be confusing for staff and that it would be better to have a card that states room number to avoid incorrect billing . The mistake was dealt with promptly . Over all we had a nice stay and enjoyed our holiday but a bit more work is needed to reach the 5 star rating this hotel now has .

beautiful but far

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

While it is a beautiful hotel indeed, lovely rooms, halls, beautiful branding, the service is still adapting to a 5 star freshly appointed level. The chef for hot meals was really bad, service and actual food, i had asked for an omelette and only by the way he spread the egg mixture it was clear it will be a failure, rubber like, the poached egg was boiled instead and he was just so miserable as if he hates his jobs so much! also the ladies cleaning the plates should know that if the cutlery is not inside the plate they should not take the plate away, so i ended up with my plates being taken away with food i was still eating but went to get a piece of bread. The location is beautiful but far from everything, it was 30/40min and 30/40 eur per direction each time so had to pay 160 eur taci per day going to beach club and return, then dinner and return, so would be wiser to get all clothes and just go directly from beach club as everything is close and i ended up doping same road twice. gym is small but good, pool is beautiful, breakfast has good variety and all my friends praised the pastries, i lacked some fresh vegetables, there were NONE.

Wow!

My wife and I have just returned from week at this fantastic hotel! All the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. Our room was serviced twice daily including turn down! Breakfast was beautiful both in location and flavour. Great choice of hot and cold food. In particular, I liked having eggs Benedict made for me! Slightly quirky, but in keeping was the morning Italian music. And the DJs in the afternoon gave a great atmosphere to the pool area. The music wasn’t particularly loud and didn’t overpower at any time. It was really nice being able to walk down and have a swim in the sea, which was about a minute away where there is a nice chilled out beach bar if you fancy a change! Gentle 15 minute walk into town. All in all a great stay! Thanks. Ed and Debbie.
