Beautiful setting in the Sangre de Cristo foothills made our recent anniversary stay at Rancho Encantado special. We experienced breathtaking sunsets from our balcony each night, thoughtful resort staff, and lovely grounds and landscaping. Our 2nd-floor room was large with a fireplace, spacious balcony, marble bath, and regional art and decor. Front desk staff surprised us with a special bottle of bubbles for celebrating and bartender printed a cocktail recipe we enjoyed so we can try to concoct at home! Hiked up in the hills behind the resort each morning, enjoyed happy hour on the resort veranda, and swam in the pool early evenings in the dappled light. Yoga class was offered one weekend morning and fitness center over-looked the pool area for a needed distraction while on the treadmills. Had numerous conversations with staff, all pleasant encounters, and management took time to greet us daily and share their favorite Sante Fe destinations when asked. Resort is about 15 minutes north of Sante Fe and was an easy drive for spending a few days downtown visiting museums, art galleries, and historic sites. We had a car, but the resort offers hourly service to downtown Sante Fe if you want to forego driving. We were absolutely thrilled we chose Rancho Encantado for our "home" and they proved that the Four Seasons will go above and beyond to please their guests. We will return again soon.

We chose the Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado in Santa Fe to celebrate our anniversary. During my massage, the therapist applied oil directly to my hair without asking. My hair was drenched, and I had no way to fix it before our anniversary dinner—it left me feeling uncomfortable on what should have been a special night. I reported the issue to the hotel and followed up by email, but I never received a reply. At this level of property, I expected acknowledgment and a simple apology at minimum. Four Seasons is known for its service philosophy, and I hope management reviews this situation so other guests aren’t put in the same position. The rest of the property is beautiful, but the lack of response to a clear service issue was disappointing.

Complete property power outage at 3a. At 730a, learned the hotel backup generator was also not working. No notes left for guests with explanation of issue/actions taken. No manager on-site. No coffee or continental food. Guests are just being left to figure out how to manage the situation on their own. And at 9am, the person at the front desk is left to field screams from angry clients about an unacceptable response to this issue. FS management at this property has to do better. Not impressed with my first visit here.

My husband and I stayed here last week and thought it was wonderful. The entire property is very quiet and relaxing. The staff were outstanding—every team member made a point to ask if we needed anything and were consistently helpful. Our casita was comfortable and private, and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time on the patio. We took advantage of the complimentary shuttle to the downtown area each day. In addition to recommending restaurants and making dinner reservations, the shuttle dropped us off and provided a return trip, which was incredibly convenient. We also enjoyed the short, easy trail located behind the property. Upon arrival, there was a small snafu with our reservation. The manager personally greeted us with a sincere apology, explained the situation, and made things right. A big thank you to Andres for his professionalism and kindness. The only downside was our experience at the Terra restaurant—we didn’t care for the dinner. However, our waitress was excellent.

The worst experience ever! The front desk are clueless on what they are doing. One of them Carlos even hung up on me. They double billed me and overcharged me and the useless manager Andres couldn’t help me with an issue, completely useless. Argued with me for 30 min, the worst customer service skills. I spent over $3.5k for 2 night stay. Would never come back and don’t recommend this property!!
