Too good to be true!!!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Checked out after one night (booked for 5) because it does live up to its photographs. While spacious and quaint and a good value for the area, the rooms are old, mattress was so soft that if someone move it rocked, dark and unattractive. Staff was nice but made it clear that they were unhappy with our decision to leave and charged us for an extra night. Guess they want to make sure that we did not recommend them. Pay more it is worth it!

They have some reasonably priced two bedroom options.

This was my second stay at Las Palomas and we’ll definitely be back. It’s located within convenient walking distance to the city center and reasonably priced. If you look at rates for any of hotels near the square, you’ll see what I mean. A lot of the rooms are around small court yards with fountains which make for a fun evening hang out. We particularly like this place for the two room suites as we travel with one kid. Most of the clientele seem to be older couples. The included breakfast is an extra treat and another reason choose this place. It’s hard to find any criticisms. The hot water is a little tricky to adjust but that just comes with older plumbing.

Noisy air conditioner, which kept us up for two nights and did not work on the third night. Thorn bush partially intruding on the entrance to the door. Mattress visible when checking in because of the poor job of making the bed. No ice trays in the freezer section of the refrigerator. Only one sponge for cleaning dishes was caked with food when we checked in. Three out of four hotel employees we spoke to about the air conditioner were rude. We had stayed here before and enjoyed the hotel, but this time was bad enough we will never stay here again.

Unhappy camper

The room was across the street from the office, yes had to leave the hot room to find ice downstairs no less. Took the unlined ice bucket but no need for it since there was a bag that doesn’t fit the container Rude reception at the desk on sign ign in, 48 hour cancellation required but only made reservations the day before, never again and I’m not just gritching. It is very unpleasant and will never return

Nice- but wifi is awful

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Nice place but the wi-fi is awful. If you need wifi to work, from a cell, iPad or laptop, good luck. Food is great, friendly staff and great location. I do wish the beds were more comfortable- bathrooms are good, and well appointed. Just please, please fix the wifi
