Grand Hotel Miramare

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grand Hotel Miramare and would happily return. The pool area and beach club directly across the road were fabulous, and the hotel had a lovely atmosphere throughout. Breakfast on the terrace was a wonderful way to start the day. Aperitivo was another highlight: excellent cocktails, great service and live piano music created an ambience we loved. We also had lunch at the hotel twice and thoroughly enjoyed both the food and service. Our ground-floor room was spacious, with a lovely garden terrace and an excellent bathroom. The magnifying makeup mirror was a welcome practical detail. Everything was clean, and service was consistently excellent across the hotel. The location was excellent for walking into Santa Margherita Ligure and exploring the coast towards Paraggi Bay and Portofino, with the ferry another option for visiting Portofino. The main disappointment was the gym arrangement. It required leaving the hotel to use a separately operated local gym, rather than a private hotel fitness room. For us, this felt awkward and less comfortable than expected. The weights area was particularly hot, with sunlight streaming in, and the opening hours did not suit early workouts. We ultimately decided not to use it. Despite that, this was a lovely stay. The beach club, pool, dining and evening atmosphere were real strengths, backed by excellent service. We would gladly stay again.

Excellent hotel location . Staff are excellent. Lovely pool and landscape gardens. Breakfast experience was great .However Hotel advertises a gym but it belongs to a third party and it lacked basic exercise equipment. The gym was difficult to use in the mornings as the gym was occupied by its customers attending group exercise classes.

I highly recommend Grand Hotel Miramare. Top notch, gracious service, spotlessly clean rooms/baths and delicious, well prepared food, not to mention a view that is beautiful. Peaceful and relaxing. They have not lost the art of the grand hotels of days gone by.

Beautiful deluxe hotel and location with excellent and friendly staff. Delighted to be back for our fifth time.

Before arrival the concierge was extremely helpful with planning activities, reservations, etc. Location was perfect for enjoying the Italian riviera; easy walks to a lot of different places. The hotel, pool and grounds are obviously beautiful and our room was too; amazing views, super clean. They also have really nice towels. It has a high end feel but relaxed enough to be very inviting. They sent a few extra things to our room as it was my birthday, such a nice surprise and gesture. Couldn't imagine a better place to spend it. Just wish we had stayed longer.
