Huntley Santa Monica Beach

Pros: The room was gorgeous! It was well appointed. It was modern. I loved the color scheme and the large closet. The bed was soft and I had blissful sleep. We went to breakfast at the Penthouse Restaurant. The breakfast was delicious. We whipped topping on the strawberry and creme waffles melted in our mouths. Great location. A block away from the beach. Quiet residential neighborhood. We felt very safe. Cons: The parking is $68 per night. That is really excessive. I would recommend getting an Uber from the airport and save money for parking each night. It was my birthday weekend and I really appreciated the wine, card, and fruit tray that was complementary. I requested the day before to get a room upgrade for my birthday. The representative asked me to come back the morning and they would be able to help me. There were 4 room available with an ocean view. He made a note on my account. I went down the next morning. I was asked to pack up everything. We did and were moved to a different room. When we got in the room I noticed the view was the parking lot. There was no view at all. I mentioned this to the person helping us. He called the front desk and she said there were no other rooms available. That was a waste of time. We moved back to the room we had. After multiple times of going back to the lobby because the key did not work we finally got back in. My suggestion would be for the front desk to confirm the customer’s request. Check the room out and confirm before having them pack up and make a blank trip.

A business meeting was extended by an extra day to allow for personal time with my spouse. The hotel is beautiful, but the number of children occupying the "Relaxation" spa area was annoying, as it was neither private nor relaxing, given that they, along with a parent, treated it like a play pool. The service was excellent, and the complimentary hotel driver was a great perk. The Penthouse restaurant was beautiful, but the day I had breakfast there, workers began tearing up the floors. Bad timing award.

The ambiance, the view, the pillows/bed were the most comfortable. The restaurant food was delicious and view was spectacular. Celebrating my birthday at the Penthouse was a great choice, the staff at the hotel and restaurant were professional, kind and friendly. I was provided with a warm welcome. Front desk Vivian and the general manager attention to detail about my birthday was unmatched. I’ll forever remember the experience. Handwritten card meant so much to me. I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend the hotel, the beach is steps away so the area was perfect.

Super comfortable bed, great shower, clean rooms and easy walking distance to beach, shops and restaurants. Great hotel for a weekend getaway!

Excellent location, clean and comfortable rooms, worth every penny. My expectations for hotel and room quality (size, bedding, noise, location, etc.) at this price point are high, and the Huntley certainly met all of those. For me, what pushed this over to a phenomenal experience was how friendly and accommodating the staff were. I had my departure flight change to a much later time, and the staff was so helpful in changing my checkout time, transport, etc. They made what could have been a very stressful time for me so much easier, and for that they now have a return customer!
