The best beach vacation on the planet. Nicest facility with impeccable staff. We hosted my daughter‘s wedding here two years ago. It’s the same amazing place now as it was then. And virtually every member of the staff two years ago was still working. It was wonderful to see familiar faces.

Family-Friendly Luxury on 30A with Incredible Service and Gulf Views

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Our family had an incredible stay at WaterColor Inn and it’s one of the most family-friendly beach properties we’ve visited on 30A. Every room having a gulf view makes a huge difference — waking up and seeing the ocean every morning never got old. The setup of the property is extremely well thought out for families. The beach is literally just steps from the hotel, making it easy with kids, towels, and all the beach gear that usually turns into a production. Hotel guests also have access to a private pool area with dedicated waitstaff and much shorter lines compared to the public beach club areas, which made the experience feel much more relaxing and elevated. One thing we appreciated is that the nearby beach club can also be accessed by non-hotel guests who pay for entry, but staying at the hotel definitely came with perks and a more exclusive experience. Another huge bonus is the location — you can easily walk to Seaside, the iconic town where The Truman Show was filmed. It gave us plenty to do without ever needing to get in the car. A special shoutout goes to Mercer, who took care of us for three mornings at breakfast and again at the pool. His hospitality stood out even among an already excellent staff. He remembered our exact orders from the previous day without us saying a word and consistently went above and beyond to make our family feel welcomed and taken care of. Employees like Mercer are what turn a great property into a memorable experience. One final touch we loved: the complimentary treat suites on every floor stocked with sodas, snacks, and frozen desserts. It’s such a smart and thoughtful amenity for families and added to the overall experience more than you’d expect. Highly recommend WaterColor Inn for families looking for a relaxing, walkable, upscale-but-comfortable beach vacation on 30A.

Picture Perfect

My husband and I (middle age) just returned from a 5-night stay at the WaterColor Inn and absolutely loved it. We were looking for a pristine beach where we could take long walks and a relaxing atmosphere. We'd never been to the 30A area, so we researched many other hotel options. WaterColor and the area didn't disappoint. Our room (401) was perfect, with an L-shaped balcony facing the gulf. We left the door open at night to hear the waves crashing. The room and grounds were clean, and the staff was pleasant and accommodating. We enjoyed the free bikes and kayak. Seaside town was an easy 1/2-mile walk. The pool was rarely busy. The soft rock-free sand melted under our feet, and the water was as turquoise and clear as in the Caribbean. Every night the hotel provided homemade cookies, even giving me my preferred gluten free version. We would stay here again.

The WaterColor Resort is magnificent! The service we received at property restaurants and area activity attractions was impeccable. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else now that we have found this jewel of a resort. We travel with small children and it is a perfect resort for families, but I can see how this would be a great romantic vacation destination as well. You will not find a better vacation spot in the panhandle!
