Fabulous experience

Stayed at this Hyatt Regency and saw the poster in the lobby for the Paint & Sip class, so I decided to give it a try. I was a little hesitant since I’ve never painted before, but it ended up being such a fun experience. Jeannine was so kind and patient, and the front desk guy was incredibly hospitable. If you’re staying at the hotel and see the sign, join the Saturday class, I’m sure you won’t regret it!

Early Check Out Without Warning…

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

I was attending a conference at this location. In between classes and presentations I would go back to my room to recharge. On my last day there I found my room being refreshed for the next occupancy. It was 9:45am and check out was supposed to be at noon. I was basically told my stay in the room was done. When I went to the front desk to double check when check out was they quietly asked me if I could just check out because they were busy. I complied. I am not one to make a scene. I am very frustrated and disappointed. I guess they can just check you out whenever is most convenient for them.

Expected a Hyatt level of experience

The room was good. The self-parking at $24/day was quite limited and the handicap parking stalls was very limited given the hotel capacity. A good portion of the parking is gravel which made it a bit difficult for folks with limited mobility. Conference guests should have been directed to park in the areas near the conference rooms instead of competing for space with hotel guests in the limited hotel guest parking area. I was told previously that there is no breakfast buffet but that is inaccurate. There is a breakfast buffet everyday. The gym could use more housekeeping attention. The Peloton bike was not working properly for the entire 7days which I've reported several times - but no resolution. It appeared that it was not working properly for a few days/weeks prior.

Good time & location, so don't let negative reviews influence you too much!

I'm only a lower level Hyatt loyalist, so I wasn't expecting much in terms of acknowledgement of elite perks. I also read a lot of polarizing reviews about Hyatt Regency Sonoma Wine Country, but wanted to give this hotel a chance during a wine tasting weekend with my husband. We are so glad we stayed here. Service was really good and helpful despite being understaffed. The location is super convenient in terms of driving/parking and walking to nearby restaurants, bars, and even a couple of tasting rooms. We were upgraded to a bigger room that was the perfect size for us. Condition of the room and spacious bathroom were good and clean. There are a lot of families so noise can sometimes be an issue but just bring a white noise machine and you should be fine. Will definitely return to this hotel when we have another wine tasting trip!

Ants

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Staff was great, food was good, unfortunately, there were ants in my room, mainly my bathroom. During our business meeting, they only offered 1 red wine, which was a Merlot. I personally didn’t like it at all, and I didn’t even say anything, the staff member noticed I didn’t order a glass after my tasting, and she went & got a battle of Cabernet just for me!
