Nantipa - A Tico Beach Experience

The villas at the Nantipa were wonderfully relaxing and the surf was fantastic. We enjoyed the customer service and the small town of Santa Teresa was something to be experienced. Nothing but good things to say and this place was the highlight of our trip.

Rare is it to find a quiet boutique paradise with accommodations and service to match. This is what we found at Nantipa. The staff doted on us throughout our entire stay and all of our requests were met. Our spacious room was clean and well appointed. The bed and pillows were comfortable for a perfect night's sleep. Our bungalow back door opened to a private area with a hammock, seating and a pristine plunge pool. Our bungalow was nestled close to the waves and the like the paths on the grounds had a relaxing, natural jungle feel. The pool was beautiful and there was always seating with an umbrella when needed. The big draw was the spectacular "3 in 1" sunsets with a changing panorama of colour. The open air restaurant and beach sitting area offered perfect views for this night time highlight. We ate breakfast at the restaurant but we had a choice of many similarly priced and less expensive options within walking distance. We were met by capuchins and other wildlife on our morning walks on the beautiful beach that extends in either direction for miles and miles. We will be back!

Excellent location, rooms, grounds, beach and outstanding staff that were always helpful and pleasant! Rooms were very clean, resort is hidden in nature but very close to shops and restaurants.

We had a lovely one week stay at Nantipa and highly recommend this peaceful hotel right in the middle of the all the fun in Santa Teresa! We loved our Manti bungalow #8 with the private plunge pool. Its proximity next the spa meant that we had the sounds of peaceful spa music all day. We had a very short walk to the pool, restaurant and beautiful sandy beach. We enjoyed the Pilates reformer studio just in front of the hotel as well as the Buggy Blue golf cart rental. A golf cart was the perfect way to get around to restaurants that were a little further such as Eat Street and Katana as well as for a visit to the spectacular Playa Hermosa. Small touches made our stay extra comfortable such as the spacious bathroom, two suitcase stands, drying rack in the back patio, daily refresh of beach towels, and two times daily service in the room which kept it perfectly clean at all times - I really commend the staff for keeping the room and whole property spotless! The staff including concierge Emma was super helpful and always available via WhatsApp which was super convenient. We loved being able to enjoy the peaceful vibe of this hotel while being a short walk away to the party atmosphere at Uma’s and Rachos Ituana. The rooms are quite sound proof so we had no issues with noise. Although the room has an outdoor shower (my fav) it was not private enough for a full shower; perhaps the hotel could consider something to make the outdoor showers more private, although I still did enjoy that the indoor shower had a door to the outside.
