Our stay at the Mandarin Oriental Santiago was exceptional from beginning to end. Every single person on the team made such an effort to chat with us and help with recommendations throughout our four nights there. It is rare to experience such genuine warmth and hospitality in a luxury hotel. A special thank you to Andreas, who organised a wonderful private trip to Valparaíso, Viña del Mar and a winery lunch, as well as helping with excellent restaurant recommendations during our stay. Rodregas in the Atrium Bar was fantastic, recommending beautiful wines and food, and Gonzalo, the breakfast manager, always took the time to chat with us and suggest places to visit in Santiago. Benjamin & Robert on reception The hotel itself is beautiful, with excellent restaurants, large luxurious rooms, and stunning design throughout. We were incredibly grateful for the upgrade to a room with spectacular mountain views, which made our stay even more memorable. I have stayed in many luxury hotels all over the world, and this has by far been my favourite — not just because of the beautiful property, but because of the wonderful people who truly make the hotel special. Highly, highly recommend the Mandarin Oriental Santiago.

Visit 1 on 20th February 2026: Splendid room, wonderful view, complimentary bottle of wine and petit fours. A welcome card from Guest Relations. Plenty of complimentary bottled water. I couldn't fault it - and I would have given 5 stars at that point. Visit 2 on 5th March 2026: 1) Waited two and a half hours in reception waiting for the room to be ready despite asking 3 times what the problem was. I was told "we are very busy" - Not a good answer. 2) Was given a very similar room as my previous stay in terms of layout and view however 3) no water, 4) my bags didn't turn up for another half an hour despite my calling down to reception and 5) none of the things that I had experienced at my first stay just two weeks prior.

I'd never stayed in a M.O. hotel before, but we booked it because it was top of the list of Santiago hotels. From the moment we arrived, it did not disappoint. The room was stunning with views of the Andes and the service was impeccable. We had dinner in Senso, the Italian restaurant, on our first night, which was delicious. However, the breakfast was the star of the stay, with a gold standard hot and cold buffet and cooked-to-order dishes. We enjoyed a day around the stunning pool - a little on the chilly side, but we were staying at the end of the summer season. We loved cocktails by the pool daytime and evening, where service was top notch and super friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. I'd definitely look out for another M.O. hotel! This one, although expensive, was one highlight on our trip to Chile.

Our stay at the Mandarin Oriental in Santiago was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with big smiles from every staff member we encountered. Every staff member made us feel truly welcomed. Every day when we returned, we were greeted by the refreshing tea served in the lobby. This attention to detail continued in our room, where we found chocolates placed on our nightstands every day, which brought so much joy to our family. As vegetarians, we were impressed by how accommodating and attentive the staff was to our dietary needs. The impeccable service, thoughtful details, and genuine kindness made our stay unforgettable. We would return in a heartbeat.
