Delightful hotel. We had a superior double which was very spacious. The classic period building is well set back from the road and our room facing the road was very quiet. Breakfast was excellent. Lovely choices. Lastly the staff are excellent. So helpful and attentive. Highly recommend.

We stayed here on our second stay in Santiago. The hotel is beautiful and very charming. The shower was hot. The bed was comfortable. I am not sure about the location as we didn’t venture out much on our own. We did a tour to the wineries on the full day that we stayed here. The breakfast was delicious. The airport taxi pick up and drop off was worth it. The elevator wasn’t working when we were there if you need it.

This hotel looks absolutely lovely and is full of character…lots of original features and very unique. The other pluses are being located the airport side of town, absolutely spotless cleaning, very modern bathroom, good breakfast, nice to have a welcome drink, very responsive prior to stay over email. The not so good started when we couldn’t locate our transfer organised by the hotel at the airport. Turns out she was waiting at the wrong terminal, ok fair enough. However when we met her we realised she was a very young girl (couldn’t have been older than 18, if that), not able to help lift luggage in the car, had dance music blaring which I had to request being turned off…and didn’t know where she was going. We literally drove around in circles a few times at one point. When we arrived at the destination (this hotel) she had to call someone to find out if she was there. Bearing in mind the transfer was organised by the hotel, they did not think any of the above was at all out of the ordinary…just didn’t care. I called to reception to find out if there was a hairdryer in the room only to be told that there should be and, if there wasn’t, they didn’t have a spare available. No solution offered. Weeks prior to arrival we requested if they could make a dinner reservation at a local restaurant for us. They said they had done so and we confirmed again when we checked-in. Upon locating the restaurant the following evening we found it to be closed up. When we called the hotel they simply wondered out loud why no one had thought to tell us the restaurant had informed them they are closed on Mondays. No apology or solution offered, leaving us to wander the streets of Santiago at night looking for somewhere to eat. There are some real positives to this hotel , however I could not in all honesty recommend staying there , unfortunately, due to the rather lack lustre approach to guest service.

I was in the Jasmine room. It is the smallest of the 12 rooms that they have available. It was less than $90 a night. It was small, but that is what I needed. Other rooms and suites are larger. What I liked the most was the cleanliness of the room. The maid cleaned my room every day. She thoroughly cleaned it. The bed was slightly firm, but comfortable. I loved the soft, large pillows, and there were so many of them. The walk-in shower was small, but adequate. The staff are beyond friendly and helpful. They will gladly and freely assist you any way that they can. Loved the location. It is not in the business district or too close to the center. Yet, you can still get to the center in a few minutes by taxi or Uber. I wholly recommend this little hotel.

Matildas was an incredible place to stay while we were in Santiago. It was very safe and the rooms and hotel were clean--not to mention very cool! Hotel staff was responsive from the time I booked the stay until the minute we left. They were helpful with suggestions on things to do and how to travel around the city. There were many many places we could walk just in the area to see historic buildings and areas, grab a bite to eat or hop on the Metro to go other places. The breakfast was awesome and we really just felt a little like part of the family while we stayed. Highly recommend Matildas!
