About the Hotel
Embracing a legacy of rich history dating back to the 15th century, Hodelpa Nicolas de Ovando Hotel is located on the first paved road of the New World, Calle Las Damas, in the heart of Santo Domingo’s historic Zona Colonial, designated a UNESCO Heritage Site. Comprising three stone houses and courtyards built in 1502, the historic building was the very first to be built on the country’s colonial land and the home of the town’s founder and first Spanish governor of the Americas, Nicolas de Ovando, and his companion Christopher Columbus.

Welcoming, clean and fresh from lobby to the pool. Excellent service by all. The included breakfast will make everyone’s day. There was so much food! Shout out to Hector and Edwin.
