Reviews for Aigialos Hotel

The best hotel in Fira!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We cannot recommend this place enough!! My husband and I are on our honeymoon and we decided to stay in Fira to have less crowds but still vibrant. The hotel was amazing from the beginning. As soon as we checked in, we were welcomed with delicious refreshments. The breakfast is amazing, the rooms are clean and spacious, and the staff are incredible! We highly recommend this place for anyone coming to Santorini and staying in Fira and we plan on staying here again if we visit the island! The hospitality is amazing and they even gave us breakfast to go on our last day because we had an early ferry to catch and we were going to miss breakfast. The hotel is also walking distance to everything but far away to give us peace and quiet at night.

Aigialos: The Timeless Art of Santorini Hospitality

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Staying at Aigialos was much more than staying at a beautiful hotel in Santorini. For a brief moment, it felt as though we had been invited to truly live the island. There is something extraordinary about waking up inside one of these historic residences, opening the doors to the caldera, and realizing that the walls, terraces, courtyards, and pathways surrounding you were part of Santorini long before they ever became a hotel. Nothing feels manufactured. Instead, you become immersed in the rhythm of the island; the changing light over the Aegean, the quiet mornings, the volcanic landscape, the architecture, the flowers, and a remarkable stillness that makes you want to simply sit and take it all in. The luxury of Aigialos is just as distinctive. It is not about excess or trying to impress, but rather a classical, understated kind of luxury; beautiful surroundings, history, privacy, gracious hospitality, and the rare privilege of having the time and space to appreciate them. Here, you realize that true luxury can simply mean being completely present in an extraordinary place. A very special thank you to Semina, Andreas, Apostolis, Chrysa, Nikos and the rest of the staff, who were exceptional representatives of Aigialos. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made us feel less like hotel guests and more like we had been welcomed into a Santorini home. For a few unforgettable days, we weren't simply visiting Santorini or admiring its beauty from the outside. We were living within it; experiencing the island through its architecture, history, landscape, hospitality, and timeless elegance. Perhaps that is Aigialos’ greatest luxury: the rare privilege of becoming fully present; of experiencing Santorini not simply as a destination, but as a place to be lived, if only for a moment. In that experience, the vision of Kyriaki Tsouni, the “Lady of Santorini,” quietly and beautifully lives on.

Sheer paradise you must book now

If I could rate this ten out of five I would!! This place is A mazing !! Don’t hesitate to press book when you see availability. The hotel, the views, the staff all deliver the best holiday of a lifetime. From the moment we stepped out of the taxi we were looked after and when you walk towards those double red doors in reception the views take your actual breath away! The breakfast on your balcony is a must, recommendations of what to do all served so well by the hotels staff with some local hidden gems shared too. This isn’t service served at this hotel this is 1000% over and above hospitality!! Honestly one of my husband and I’s best holidays all made perfect by Aigialos. Thank you so much! Without a shadow of doubt we will be back!!!! Much love xx

Absolutely marvellous

Absolutely amazing the view was the best we've had from a hotel room. We watched the cruise ships coming and going from our balcony. The staff couldn't have been more helpful friendly and polite. The whole hotel was very clean and tidy. We had breakfast on our balcony every day which was perfect. The location is just far enough away from the restaurants and shops so very quiet. We couldn't find fault with anything.
