We can’t recommend this hotel enough. It was simply beautiful and so perfect for couples. Our room was really clean and the view from the balcony was breath taking. The housekeeping was absolutely brilliant! A separate mention definitely has to go to the team and the service. It was simply exceptional! Bravo Alisia and the team! Nothing was a bother. They have kindly helped with booking our trips and restaurants. Always smiley and helpful! We couldn’t recommend the hotel enough!

Amazing hotel, this is a beautiful hotel built into the side of the rock. On arrival we were greeted warmly by the reception team and a glass of sangria and then taken down 136 steps (warning for those of limited mobility, there is no lift and you'll probably need to make this journey several times a day!!) to our magnificent suite overlooking the bay of the extinct volcano. We were in the completely private and quiet Andronis suite with a heated pool (just tell them what temperature you want the water set to) and an open patio. Once settled they delivered our welcome drink which was a bottle of champagne and a plate of cut fresh fruit on ice and pastries. The suite itself was open plan with a large living area and all mod cons, including Netflix on the TV and a coffee maker. The Tempur bed was very comfortable with an extensive pillow menu. The fridge was restocked daily with drinks and nibbles. All the staff were very friendly particularly the superb reception team who organised everything for us from meals to daily outings, including the guy who actually ran down to open the car park for us!

Oia is such a beautiful place and Alta Mare is a perfect place to stay overlooking the Santorini caldron and it is also perfectly located in the middle of restaurants and shops. We stayed in a two bedroom suite with its own private hot tub and sparkling wine was chilling when we arrived along with an appetizer plate. What made Alta Mare even better was the assistance of the staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They carried our luggage up the street to the hotel and down to the taxi when we left. Martin, Tefal (sp?) and the others treated us like special guests. When you stay at an Andronis property you can use the amenities at any of the other four locations so we spent an afternoon at Andronis Arcadia's large pool. If we ever go back to Santorini we would stay at Alta Mare.

This is a wonderful luxury hotel in beautiful Oia, Santorini. We stayed three nights. The rooms and views are amazing. The staff is wonderful and were great helping us book a catamaran cruise on short notice. We stayed here in late October 2024, which we found to be a perfect time for Santorini. The crowds are down quite a bit from summer and the prices are very reasonable.
