Canaves Oia Epitome

Truly 5 Star, the Canaves Epitome excels in every way. Great staff, extremely responsive, verdant grounds (unusual in Santorini, given it's volcanic terrain), and great sunsets. My only hope is that the property and staff maintain current levels of care and service. Cannot wait to return!

An absolutely top experience! The staff services were beyond what we could have imagined and they were all so lovely and kind! Our concierge Margarita arranged a variety of dinner experiences for us that fully encapsulated everything we had hoped for while on Santorini!

breeze through open spaces, conversations that linger, sunlight resting on white stone, and that rare feeling of having nowhere else to be. Then sunset arrives, and the caldera catches fire in shades of gold, rose, and deep amber, until the sky finally fades into night. Dinner at their Restaurant follows, intimate and suspended above the sea, wrapped in candlelight and calm. Some places impress you. Others quietly stay with you. ✨

In an island that is riddled with tourists. The notion of getting a hotel room in the middle of the city of Fira or Oia during season is outdated. The Canaves Epitome is absolutely surreal. Complete privacy and intimacy accompanied with absolute exemplary service. We came for our anniversary arrival we were immediately upgraded without request. The front desk communicated with WhatsApp (within seconds I would receive a reply). There is a free shuttle service to Oia 24hours, and for a fee a shuttle to Fira (which beats taxi or uber). The staff were professional and really enjoyed their work and made every single element of our stay feel special. If I ever come back to Santorini it would be at the Canaves without question. I never take the time to write reviews, but my family’s stay at Canaves Epitome on the Greek island of Santorini in Oia was so extraordinary and exceptional, I felt compelled to write one. We have stayed at some of the finest resorts in the world, and we have never experienced this high quality level of service and attention to detail. Canaves Epitome was truly the highlight of our 3 weeks traveling through Croatia and Greece. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our visit was perfect in every way. Our guest relations advisor, Margarita, was the friendliest, most engaging, knowledgeable and creative resort staff member we have ever met. She took time to learn about our interests and hobbies and then made suggestions for excursions she knew we’d enjoy (horseback riding, wine-tastings, sunset catamaran cruise and more). Margarita made all the arrangements for us, including transportation. She made reservations at restaurants she knew would serve not only marvelous fresh fish and seafood but also be an experience to remember (best meal at Armeni)! Juliette, our guest relations manager, consistently followed up with us to ensure our stay was perfect. Margarita and Juliette made sure we struck the ideal balance between experiencing exciting and fun activities while also leaving time for leisure and relaxation. (big shout-out to the spectacular Spa). The food at Canaves Epitome was incredibly delicious. The breakfasts were remarkable. Freshest, sweetest fruit that tasted like candy. Eggs Benedict and omelets were made with the freshest ingredients and perfectly seasoned. Fluffiest crepes of all time! Our villa was unimaginably spacious, luxurious, impeccably clean, and had any and every amenity we could possibly want - including the option of having a floating breakfast in your private pool of shimmering turquoise water! This resort is something out of a fairytale. We sent photos to family and friends at home in the United States, and they thought the backgrounds were fake! Picturesque doesn’t capture the brightly colored tropical flowers, vivid foliage, and breathtaking views of the sapphire blue Aegean Sea surrounding us. Staying here was like living in a vibrant, high-definition postcard!
