Canaves Oia Suites

This resort is absolutely the most beautiful place on the Island. The service and amities are excellent. We can’t say enough about how kind and helpful the staff were. On top is that, the views from our room were breathtaking. We also really enjoyed dining at the restaurant. The service and food were incredible. We were only able to stay a short while, but the next time we will definitely stay longer. Such a beautiful resort.

Our stay at Canaves Oia Suites was absolutely unforgettable. The views are truly breathtaking—the kind that make you stop in your tracks every single time you look out. From sunrise to sunset, the caldera scenery is beyond compare and perfectly captures the magic of Santorini. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely fun to be around. Every interaction felt warm and personal, making us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. The location couldn’t be more perfect—you’re right next to everything Oia has to offer, yet just far enough away to enjoy total peace and quiet. It’s the ideal balance between convenience and tranquility. The property itself is immaculate. Everything is spotless and beautifully maintained. Our room (64) offered wonderful privacy, allowing us to relax and unwind in complete comfort while still taking in those stunning views. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Canaves Oia Suites exceeded all expectations, and we can’t wait to return ❤️

Our stay at Canaves Oia Suites was absolutely exceptional. The hotel is very good, and the staff went above and beyond at every step of the way — anticipating our needs, suggesting great activities, and always ensuring we had everything we could want. It truly stands among the best hotels in Santorini, and I would choose it again without hesitation. Breakfast was outstanding, featuring a wide variety of fresh and delicious options that changed daily. The staff was always attentive, warm, and genuinely kind. The rooms were spacious, the plunge pool perfectly heated, and the views from every corner of the property were breathtaking. Highly recommended — a flawless experience from start to finish.

Hands down the worst hotel in Greece that I have ever stayed at. The majority of the staff seems convinced that the beautiful views of the hotel are enough to overlook a myriad of shortcomings and incompetence left and right. I got to my room, #58, nearly two hours after check-in time to find that the toilet had dark urine marks from the previous guests. The agent who brought me to my room insisted that there was no air conditioning issue when I mentioned how uncomfortably hot the room was and she instructed me to leave the ac unit at 16 C (the coldest setting the system allows). When I finished taking a shower, I realized that the towels were full of long strips of hair... quite disgusting as I have short hair and I knew it couldn't be mine; first time I felt filthy after taking a shower, not in a million years would I have seen this coming. By midnight, the room was still very warm and I decided to take a swim in the private pool, only to cut my feet after stepping on a super sharp open valve in the middle of the pool's floor quite difficult to see unless you accidentally step on it. By 2 am, I still couldn't sleep, again, due to the warm temperature of the room and by then my foot hurt from the previous cut in the pool when I realized there were no bottles of water in the room. I was beyond frustrated at that point but I simply asked the staff to please send a couple bottles of water, which they did deliver within a few minutes though there was no apology as to why there were no bottles of water in the room to begin with. The next day, I was tired after struggling to rest throughout the night and I kindly asked the staff for 1:45 p.m. check out which they outright refused. I had had enough and told them that their lack of customer service was beyond unacceptable and suddenly, they had a change of hearts and granted me 1:45 p.m. check out but I didn't want to spend an extra minute at the property and I left right away. On a related note, if you are expecting any type of Diamond benefit, you will be sorely disappointed as there are none. Please save yourself a gigantic and physically painful nightmare and book another property... even cheaper hotels in Oia have significantly better levels of customer service with kind and helpful staff who are actually determined to deliver a memorable Santorini vacation.

This is a wonderful hotel in a beautiful place in the world. The location, view, staff, food and wine were remarkable. Attention is paid to every detail. We travel a lot and count this location as a must see and repeat.
