I’ve been a lot of beautiful places in the world and this was best by far. Breathtaking view of sunset from room, or in their pool away from all the crowds. Unique room built into cave with very comfortable beds, gorgeous bathrooms, lovely AC to beat the blasting heat. The primary bedroom with king bed is incredible with comfy linens, great AC and big bathroom. The loft room with the comfortable queen bed had great AC but you have to navigate slippery steep stairs to get up and down to bathroom. Also no closet or room for luggage really in that room but it was doable. The other loft room was accessed via steep slippery stairs in the primary bedroom and only had a small bed which was more of a couch than a real mattress and no air conditioning. Didn’t really seem usable but we didn’t need it. Lots and lots of stairs to navigate the hotel but you get used to it and within that context, easy to get to the town for shopping and restaurants but try to navigate around all the cruise passengers as that gets insane fast. Great bar and restaurant on site. Special mention to Mike the bartender who was fun to talk to and makes amazing cocktails especially his Sarti spritz. All staff were super friendly and helpful especially Elizabeth at the front desk. It’s an absolute must to arrange transportation and porter through the hotel. Lots of cobblestone and steps just to get from drop off parking lot to hotel. The porters are the true heroes to be hand carrying and hand carting huge heavy luggage all that way especially in high heat. We arranged the sunset catamaran trip through the hotel and it was spectacular. We had the included breakfast delivered to our porch every morning and it featured pastry basket, fresh juice, coffee, tea, Greek yogurt, eggs and breakfast meat any way you like and kept us full and energized all day until dinner.

The communication with the hotel was very poor. The hotel is run down and the service is horrible. Wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Views and service was perfect ! Would stay here in a heart beat . Free breakfast was a cherry on top , the Greek coffee is a must.

With out doubt one of the best hotels I have stayed in. My wife and I stayed here for 1 week. The sunset views are out of this world but views of the caldera and Oia castle are amazing. The pool area is really nice and the breakfast was superb with a range to choose from. Special mentions to the hotel staff. Front desk guy and lady was superb, always smiling and being super helpful. Big respect for the luggage handlers who have arms of steel. The walk into Oia centre is short, probably 10 minutes.

This cave hotel was simply breathtaking! It was one of our best stays during our 2 weeks in Greece. The hotel room we stayed in had a private (small) dipping pool and patio, and overlooked Amoudi Bay with beautiful sunset views! Our room was very spacious and clean. Important note: if you have bad knees or have difficulty climbing stairs, are overweight, etc. speak to someone before you book your room - our room was 125 steps down from the main level - yes 125 steps - and we are in shape 55 y/o's and found it was TOUGH to do 2x daily. After the 125 steps, you need to walk more to get to the main street in Oia. We decided it was worth it though to have that VIEW at sunset! It was a nice location but know that in Sept. Oia literally goes quiet by 9pm in September so if you are looking for a party atmosphere and bars, etc. stay in Fira or Firostefani, and just visit Oia. Would definitely stay here again.
