Hotel Sosei Sapporo – MGallery Colleciton is a 21st-century reinterpretation of a Sapporo pioneer’s residence. A living tribute to the city’s heritage where past meets present, East meets West, and timeless sophistication meets modern comfort. The hotel features 118 rooms and suites. In tribute to the city’s pioneer legacy, the guest rooms embrace the essence of Japanese-Western fusion, creating comfortable spaces where distinctive features from both worlds harmoniously coexist.
Sapporo, the birthplace of Japanese beer, continues this legacy today. While references to this tradition can be found throughout the hotel, it is in the restaurant that you can truly explore this universe. In this gastronomic eatery, the decoration is inspired by old German breweries. On the menu? Locally influenced culinary dishes with international twists, as well as a wide selection of fish purchased at the fish auctions in the sprawling city market – an age-old practice still appreciated today.

This hotel is just stunning. The decor, whilst it is a lot, melds beautifully. It is very impressive. Our room (a suite) was so beautiful, we could have spent our entire holiday in it. The breakfast certainly had something for everyone and the staff were just a delight. The evening cocktail hour in the bar was very good. A great selection of beverages to choose from and delicious choice of canapés. The stunning decor continues in this area and there is even an elegant fireplace in the room. A huge thanks to Hiro (our hero) from the bar for his assistance and guidance in relation to Japanese Whiskey. Even before we arrived at this hotel, we received emails confirming we had assistance if we needed it. We left there two days ago but are still raving. From the moment we arrived, to when we checked out, we received nothing but outstanding service. This hotel truly understands the meaning of hospitality. All staff introduced themselves to us from top management down. Thank you to everyone but kudos to Ted, Anthony & Akiko for making everything so special. Nothing was too much trouble. They were all very eager to ensure you made the best of your time whilst in Sapporo, and this came with history lessons and good recommendations. The design of the hotel attracted us but the staff have ensured we will come back.

Hotel Sosei by M Gallery was a fantastic stay—beautifully decorated with a cozy, stylish vibe. We loved our room, and the happy hour at the bar was a real highlight with tasty snacks and great drinks. Breakfast was also impressive, with a huge variety to choose from. Easily a 5-star experience, and we’d absolutely stay here again next time we’re in Sapporo.

The hotel is nice the service is great, but the hotel chain passes it self off like high end but it fails to deliver the experience. The small things really lacked good coffee in the room, room service, bar soup. Not to mention the big things like NO AC yea the weather is not often warm but who wants an open window and street noise all night… We travel a good bit work and fun we use AMX so we get a $100 credit that is always able to use on anything. As normal we had some close cleaned and got some snacks from the bar. When we checked out we still had a credit and balance. We were informed that the close are not part of the credit. But we could buy a soda or other stuff we did not need. Not the end of the world but does speak to a hotel that is pretending to be something it’s not..

We spent four wonderful days at Hotel Sosei. The thing that stood out most for our family is that all the staff were customer centric and went out of their way to make our stay in Sapporo special. We booked very last minute to go to Sapporo and so had not done any planning. Nothing was too much trouble. We stayed on the 6th floor in the executive suite. The rooms were comfortable, breakfast was varied and delicious. The bar area in the late afternoon had a great vibe. The hotel is highly recommended and we hope to return next year to explore the area further.
