The Alida, Savannah, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

I hate to leave a negative review for a hotel like this but my experience was less than satisfactory. I never even got to stay at the hotel because of an illness that came up before my trip. I called the hotel before checkout and asked if there was a way to push the trip back a few days or process a refund. They said they would like to help but that I would have to call the 3rd party I booked through (Expedia). After waiting on hold for over 30 minutes I was then told that only the hotel could process the refund or make the change. I then called the hotel back and was told the manager had just left and I would have to wait until the morning. When I called in the morning, I was told that there was nothing they could do and my money was gone. Had the hotel just told me this before I spent 45 minutes on phone calls, I would have appreciated it. Now I get a lot of hotels have cancellation policies and I understand the importance of them but I also would like to think there are moments were someone can just be a human being. I booked this hotel 24 hours before my arrival. There was plenty of occupancy. And I wasn't even asking for a refund. I was trying to push it for next week. The hotel received $800 of my money, heard that I couldn't make the trip because of illness, and rather try to work something out, told me to pound sand. Again, that is their right, but I've seen many hotels accommodate these types of requests in the past. Future customers should know what they are getting themselves into. If you should have any problem with your arrival, this hotel will not be helpful. Not what I was expecting when it came to southern hospitality.

We hosted our fall marketing meeting at The Alida property for 42 people over 4 days. The staff, the food, the location, the AV services, everything was beyond exceptional! I absolutely would recommend this property! The guest rooms we stunning and the meeting rooms were perfect for our group! I think the rooftop venue for our arrival dinner was beyond my favorite though! 5 STARS all day long!

My husband and I spent two nights at The Alida during our Savannah getaway, and we really enjoyed our stay. This boutique-style hotel is perfectly located right along Savannah’s Riverwalk, close to the beautiful riverfront restaurants, bars, and shops, and within walking distance of many of Savannah’s historic sights. We were given a corner room, which was very spacious and comfortable, with a super comfortable bed. The front desk staff were wonderful—always smiling, welcoming, and happy to help. We especially appreciated the little touches, like the cookies and goodies offered to guests, as well as the complimentary drinks at the lobby bar. We also enjoyed drinks and appetizers at the rooftop bar, which has beautiful views and a great ambiance. We happened to visit on a rainy afternoon, and it was still a lovely place to relax and enjoy the views. The Alida is a great choice if you want a stylish, comfortable boutique hotel with an excellent location for exploring Savannah. Highly recommended for discovering the beautiful historic district and enjoying everything Savannah has to offer!

The Alida was perfect for our 4-Night stay in Savannah! Nestled away in the corner of the town, the hotel was quiet at night allowing us to sleep after long days of activities. The Alida had fabulous dining & drink options; our favorite being the Lost Square Rooftop Bar, which we patronized almost every night! Furthermore, the hotel was adjacent to the JW Marriott, located right on River Street and just two blocks away City Market. An ideal location for walking through Savannah. Room was cleaned to perfection everyday. Customer service was top notch providing complimentary toothpaste, mouthwash, and Advil when needed. Daily drink coupons for the lobby bar were unexpectedly provided upon arrival. And after we checked in, we wanted a different room from the one given to us, and we were granted our request without hesitation! Would 1000% stay again!

The staff, was amazing. I met this guy name Davis and his Manager Johnathan. Both very helpful make sure my experience was amazing. My favorite food spot on this trip was the PinkHouse and I want to visit Forsyth park again.
