Located on the banks of the Savannah River in Georgia is a hip hideaway that epitomizes Southern charm. Bohemian Hotel Savannah Riverfront, with its maritime overtones and modern sensibilities, houses just 75 fascinating rooms in the town's scenic historic district. The public rooms feature a textured ambiance, with driftwood, aged brick and original works of art working in concert to create an eye-catching motif. Guest rooms, which have a modern maritime feel, are also rich with fine materials that include grained wood, worn brass and smooth leather. The entire hotel experience rests on the absence of ordinary, where unexpected pleasures and pleasing palettes of color reveal themselves at impromptu moments.

My husband and I have always loved this adorable hotel, and we stay here every year on the way to Florida. However, this trip we were extremely disappointed. The hotel seems rundown. Our room smelled musty, and the A/C sounded like a jet engine, so loud! We requested a river view as always which we got, but we did not get the balcony like we usually do. We hung our clothes in the closet - when we tried to get them out the door was stuck and we had to pry it open with a credit card. Upon arrival we went to the rooftop bar. It had just opened for the day, however, they were out of every appetizer we tried to order. Really, early in the day on a Wednesday? The last straw was valet parking. We tipped the valet to keep our car in the front area rather than across the street, as it was fully loaded with our stuff and we would be up and out very early. She said no problem! Note - we do this every year with no issue. We were very annoyed the next morning to find it had been moved across the street somewhere, and several others cars were parked where ours was! Not sure we will ever go back, which is a shame as we loved this hotel.

Very disappointing experience during my recent stay. Before arriving, we clearly told the staff that we **needed to leave by 5:30 a.m.** for an appointment and were assured that our car would be accessible. However, when it was time to leave, our car had been **blocked in by other vehicles**. When we went to the front desk to get help, there was **no one available who could move the cars**, even though we were paying **over $50 per day for valet parking**. Valet was the only parking option offered, which is why we specifically emphasized our early departure. There were also cleanliness issues. When we arrived, there was **food left outside our room door**. I notified staff, but nothing was done about it. I even placed a washcloth over the area hoping housekeeping would notice and clean it. Instead, the washcloth was simply removed while they serviced other rooms, and the mess remained. I ultimately had to **ask housekeeping directly to vacuum it**. For a hotel charging **over $500 per night**, the lack of attention to service and basic cleanliness was extremely disappointing. Staff is good at saying I am sorry. But I guess if it’s always a disappointment you get trained well.

The staff was super welcoming and friendly, complete with champagne. It's a bit tricky figuring out where to pull in. Check in was super was easy. I had a riverfront room but unfortunately scaffolding was up. You can tell it's pretty though. The room was clean, elegant and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was huge. My only complaint was the room was very dark. There's one chair to sit in beside the desk and it's a dark corner. The only place to watch tv from is the bed. Why has Marriott gotten so cheap with lightbulbs? The bed was comfortable. We enjoyed views from the rooftop bar despite the scaffolding.

The hotel failed to inform us that there would be scaffolding outside all of our windows & construction noise beginning at some ungodly hour that was like a dentist’s office drill from morning until dark. When we complained we got a very small “courtesy discount” but it hardly made us feel like our money (and believe me, a riverfront room is expensive!) was well spent. Do not stay at this hotel until renovations are completed & the scaffolding is down.

This review would be great is not for the wifi - the wifi is very bad - not much connection at all in the room and sometimes NO connection in the room. Everything else nice. But bad wifi is not an option in this day and age. You have to fix it- go around EVERY room to check it please.

We found the Bohemian Hotel in Savannah to be a great hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and well maintained. Breakfast came with our package. We found the food to be very good and in over-sized portions. You won't leave hungry from breakfast!! They even have cold bottled water at the front door, to take with you as you walk around the lovely city. Overall we would highly recommend the hotel.
