Location is wonderful, but the DeSoto seems to be feeling its age. Dated rooms, slow service, small misses (like busted soap dispensers) that add up over a stay. I want it to return to its former reputation!

Great atmosphere, the room itself was slightly underwhelming but the staff and other facilities were amazing!

The cleanliness of the room was unacceptable. For this to be a historical site, the condition of the housekeeping was extremely disappointing. The linens in my room were dirty, and although the front desk staff was very helpful and provided clean linens, housekeeping later restocked the room again with dirty linens and never changed the pillowcases, which had visible residue on them. The floors had not been swept, and the baseboards were covered in dust and dirt, giving the impression that the rooms are not being cleaned thoroughly or regularly. Even around the sink, there was noticeable buildup that could easily be removed with basic cleaning. This was not just an issue with my room—several colleagues who attended the business trip also experienced cleanliness problems in their rooms. The only positive part of my stay was the front desk staff and the valet parking team, who were both excellent and provided great service.

Old Savannah, nicely appointed. This is where I stay when I'm in town. You feel like you're in Savanna. Well located for walking to the river.

We were disappointed at our stay during this time. We had to change rooms and the room we were given, we found bugs in the bed. We have video that we won't share. We did receive a discount on the room once reported. It did not make it better. We had to change our own linens. The furniture and fridge was damaged or maybe not upto par. The next day hospitality knocked on the door at 9am and 10am when check out is 11am. Not cool.
