This hotel has a decent location in Savannah, as we were about a 10 minute walk to the activities and restaurants we wanted to do. The hotel is a bit more rundown than we anticipated and we did have some “unexplained activity” (lights turning on and off and the radio turning on and off on its own) in our hotel room which was fun after taking a ghost tour. The reason for the 3 stars is really the customer service. Our party consisted of four women and we booked a suite with a Friday check in. We checked in and were put in a double room, when we called down and let them know there was an error we were told that it wasn’t available, which was unfortunate but said we could move to the suite the next day. A little inconvenient but not the end of the world. We did also let them know the refrigerator was leaking in the initial room, not because it bothered us but we didn’t want them to have a mess on their hands and they didn’t really care. The happy hours were a cute touch with everyone getting a glass of wine, and a nice courtyard to drink in. The pool area was also cute and quiet, the bar wasn’t set up- probably due to it being November. When we checked out is when we have had the most aggravation. The hotel charged us for two nights of valet parking, which we didn’t utilize. All 4 nights at the suite pricing when we only had three and they didn’t utilize the $20 daily food and beverage credit, which they really promoted to use their restaurant (which had a good breakfast). The back and forth with customer service had been going on for two weeks as it’s a few hundred dollars difference and they are not returning calls. We did check out early, but we waited at the front desk for 5 mins for the night auditor to go over the invoice and no one came and we had to uber to the airport. I highly recommend making sure the invoice is correct before leaving and probably wouldn’t stay at this location again.

Great location, close to the river and parks for my dog. The hotel was clean and the staff was courteous. I give a thumbs up to Markiesha who was at the front desk and helped us with anything that was needed. Hotel is very dog friendly which I was looking for when I booked the Kimpton Brice

Kimpton is one of my preferred brands when traveling. This Kimpton could use a little finesse, but overall was a good experience. Rooms were comfortable, a little tired, but not a major detractor. Social hour was nice - especially the extended nature of of it. Restaurant food was great. Service was solid - especially Brian at the front desk and Peter in the restaurant. There were other staff members we interacted with who were less service oriented, but those that went above and beyond made up for it. A few details made it feel less Kimpton-like than usual. Morning coffee was a mess and mostly depleted during the stay. Restaurant team warned us of long wait times on Saturday evening one night - even though we just wanted a night cap. We stayed and it was great overall and with quick service but you could tell they had been overwhelmed earlier. Breakfast was good, but slow. I would say don't expect the standard Kimpton experience here, but don't cross it off your list based on that. Location is off the main drag but walkable to just about everything.

We stayed here two nights and it was an outstanding experience. We were celebrating our golden wedding anniversary and we had booked two rooms. We were joined by our daughter and her young family in a second bedroom. Overall, this was a stay in comfort, nay, in the lap of luxury - a memory we will really treasure for years to come. Did I forget to say this looked like a welcoming place even as one arrives at the front desk? Spacious, airy and light, the foyer exudes genuine warmth. Possibly, another factor for the warmth may be caused by convection, as it is adjacent to their restaurant- Italian kitchen + bar called Pacci! Excellent freshly brewed coffee (and tea) is served here gratis in the morning. This is a special treat that should not be missed! (Non-dairy milk was unfortunately not catered for). The bedrooms are large and has an air of luxury about it. The four poster bed has the softest mattress, possibly almost akin to memory foam. Sink into it and sweet slumber overtakes you! Housekeeping was excellent with fresh towels and supplies provided. There is plenty of storage space as also electric sockets and USB outlets. The walk in shower provided ample running hot water. The hand wash basin is well illuminated and has a shaving mirror offering 5x magnification - a significant addition for men with a smooth chin. While on the obligatory tourist’s trolley ride we learnt from our guide that the premises was in its previous incarnation, a Coca Cola bottling plant. Its transformation then into a luxury hotel is truly mind boggling. In hindsight, one wished a small part of the bottling plant was preserved for posterity/ hustory. But surely there were good corporate reasons why that may not of course have been feasible because I’m certain someone else would have considered that prospect too!

Four star hotel? Not even close. The only thing that was four star was the price. Common areas were filthy and rundown. The restaurant was expensive and the food quality and service were very poor. Definitely not on our revisit list!
