Reviews for The Kimpton Brice Hotel

We loved it!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I prefer this location because it’s on the edge of the hustle and bustle of Savannah so feels more quiet/peaceful than some Of the other options we considered. Happy to have the pool and a Peleton bike was a nice surprise. We didn’t experience any issues others mentioned and would stay here again! We had breakfast at the restaurant and it was VERY good!

My stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

This stay was ok. Just ok. The hotel restaurant food left much to be desired. The bar was properly stocked, and the drinks were well made. The hostess was exceptional, but the waiter we had was not pleasant or friendly. I had to have the bedding changed as it felt wet and clamie. There was a wet smell that was probably mold as my allergies started flaring up. The room was also dusty. It wasn't dirty but not fully cleaned. It was short on toilet paper, and I couldn't get an extra blanket. The worst was all the dogs. I guess that was our fault. We should have been aware it was a pet friendly hotel. Never again!!

One of the best hotels in Savannah, GA

Awesome customer service! Tiara checked me in and has before. She always goes above and beyond to make me feel at ease and is very friendly & hospitably, always thanking me for being a Gold Elite member. Best way to start my experience. Stephanie E. is a lovely person and always shows me such kindness and warmth, truly an exception and gem to your hotel. And last but not least, you have one of the best managers on your staff, Tim Mestras that I cannot say enough about. Thank you to each and every one of you for making me feel at home. Your hotel is fabulous and, comfortable and I love to stay there when I need a little getaway.

RUN!!! WORST IHG experience ever!!!!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Our group of nine booked king rooms but were given cheaper double rooms after the front desk confirmed with us for king rooms in person. My room was dirty with hair on the sink and a strong odor in the bathroom, likely from the sewer. Despite reporting these issues and switching rooms, the front desk was dismissive and unprofessional, claiming no other rooms were available while new guests continued to check in. When we requested a resolution, the front desk initially refused to contact the manager, stating they were at home and wouldn't come in. After persistent complaints, they miraculously found another clean room for me, but this was only the beginning of the ordeal. Later that night, the front desk contacted me to upgrade my room for compensation, but they failed to deliver. The next day, I was assured of an upgrade to a double queen suite with a living room by front desk, but upon returning at 2:30 PM and a 30-minute wait in the lobby, I was given a standard king room with poor lighting, even worse than the one I got initially. The front desk staff falsely claimed no suites were available and denied ever promising a suite, then accused me of causing trouble. Why would you offer something you would not be able to deliver? But after an argument, they magically got the suite available again and gave it to me. Throughout my stay, the front desk staff lied about room availability, made false promises, and provided misleading information about room types and prices, and giving me wrong names of their staff members and wrong numbers of their manager( I guess they did not want me to speak to a manager). Their behavior was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional, They seemed to hate their job dealing with all the guests. If they are not happy, they should quit then. The systemic issues at this hotel were evident, as I witnessed arguments between front desk staff and other guests. On one occasion, a front desk lady yelled and hung up on a guest twice. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and reflects poor management. I made a complaint with IHG immediately and was informed later that the Brice Hotel falsely claimed the manager had spoken to me during my stay and have solved my issue, which is a complete lie. I am amazed by their shameless behavior; it seems lying is a routine practice for them to solve any problem, both to their management and to guests. As an IHG Diamond Elite member, this was literally my worst hotel experience ever. The membership status at this hotel is just a joke. Till today, I am still complaining to IHG for a proper apology from the Brice hotel. Not sure how they treat other guests without a membership. If you read this far, please just RUN!!!!! Go to the HolidayInn. They do better than this hotel. If you insist to book you’ll have an adventure ahead.
