There are hotel stays you enjoy, hotel stays you recommend, and then there are experiences that somehow become part of the story of your life. Our stay at Perry Lane Hotel was the latter. My bonus daughter and I came to Savannah for a special bonus mom/bonus daughter trip with very few expectations beyond spending time together, exploring a beautiful city, eating good food, and making some memories. We left absolutely in love with Savannah, but more importantly, we left feeling like we had somehow made friends who felt more like family. And that is entirely because of people like Taylor and Saivon. I genuinely don’t know if a review can adequately explain what these two added to our trip, but I am certainly going to try. Taylor, our driver from JL Luxury Transportation, became SO much more than transportation from point A to point B. From the beginning, he was warm, hilarious, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and unbelievably generous with his time and recommendations. He didn’t just drive us around Savannah, he helped us experience Savannah. He gave us tours, shared stories, pointed us toward places we never would have known to look for ourselves, picked us up, made recommendations that were actually incredible, and somehow managed to make every ride feel like we were exploring the city with an old friend rather than being transported by a car service. There is an enormous difference between someone simply doing their job and someone taking genuine pride in making sure another human being has an incredible experience. Taylor is the latter. By the end of our stay, seeing him pull up felt less like “our driver is here” and more like, “There’s Taylor!” And if you’ve ever traveled somewhere unfamiliar, you know how special it is to suddenly have a familiar face in a new city, someone you trust, someone who knows the city, and someone you genuinely look forward to seeing. Then there is Saivon. Perry Lane, whatever you are doing to find people like this man, KEEP DOING IT. Saivon is hospitality in its purest form. From the moment we met him, he made us feel seen, welcomed, comfortable, and cared for. And somehow he did all of it without ever making it feel forced or scripted. There is customer service, and then there is the rare ability to make complete strangers feel like they belong somewhere. Saivon has that gift. He went above and beyond throughout our stay in ways both big and small. He gave us recommendations, checked in on us, kept the popcorn refills coming (an extremely important detail 😂), remembered us, laughed with us, joked with us, and made walking through the Perry Lane lobby feel like coming back to people we knew. And THE LAUGHS. There were so many. The kind of laughs that become inside jokes. The kind you talk about later in your hotel room. 1320 queen is important here. The kind that end up being some of your favorite memories from an entire vacation. Those moments matter. Especially on a trip like this one. This wasn’t simply a vacation for me. This was intentional time with my bonus daughter. Time to explore together, talk, laugh, dress up, wander Savannah, experience new things, and build the kind of relationship and memories I hope she carries with her long after she’s grown. And somehow, Taylor and Saivon became part of that story. They treated BOTH of us with such kindness. They made her laugh. They made me laugh. They made us feel safe, welcomed, celebrated, and cared for. They added something to this trip that money cannot purchase and that no luxury amenity can manufacture: genuine human connection. That’s what separates a beautiful hotel from an unforgettable one. Yes, Perry Lane is gorgeous. The location is incredible. The atmosphere is exactly what you hope for when staying somewhere special in Savannah. The details are thoughtful, the experience feels elevated, and there are countless reasons I could recommend staying here. But buildings don’t make people feel at home. People do. And Perry Lane has some exceptional ones. We arrived in Savannah as two people visiting a city we’d never experienced together. We left with stories we’ll tell for years, inside jokes, countless laughs, ghost encounters, a camera roll full of memories, and this completely unexpected feeling that somewhere along the way, the people taking care of us stopped feeling like “hotel staff” and “our driver.” They became our Savannah people. Taylor and Saivon: thank you. Thank you for taking a bonus mom and her bonus daughter under your wings for a few days. Thank you for every recommendation, every ride, every story, every popcorn refill, every laugh, every check in, and every moment you didn’t have to give us but chose to anyway. Thank you for understanding something that the very best people in hospitality seem to intuitively know: people may forget the details of where they stayed, but they never forget how someone made them feel. We will never forget how you made us feel. We came to Savannah with no expectations. We left with friends who somehow felt like family. And we left knowing that when we return to Savannah, and we absolutely will, there really isn’t a question about where we’ll stay. We’ll be coming home to Perry Lane. If you’re reading reviews trying to decide where to stay in Savannah, stop looking. Book Perry Lane. Enjoy the beautiful hotel. Explore the city. Eat everything. Take the recommendations. And if you’re lucky enough to meet Saivon at Perry Lane or have Taylor behind the wheel, know that you’re about to experience the part of Savannah that no itinerary can plan for. The people. Best bonus mom + bonus daughter trip to date. Perry Lane, please know what you have in these two. Taylor and Saivon didn’t just help make our trip better. They helped make it unforgettable. Until next time, Savannah. 🍑🧡

Perry Lane was exceptional from start to finish. The hotel is beautifully designed, impeccably clean, stylish, welcoming, and perfectly located for enjoying Savannah. The atmosphere, bar, ambiance, and attention to detail were all superb. What truly made the stay extraordinary, though, was the staff. I especially want to recognize Saivon, Precious, and Reign. Each of them was incredibly warm, gracious, polished, attentive, and genuinely attuned to the guests. There is hospitality that comes from training, and then there is hospitality that comes from character — they have both. The entire staff deserves to be commended. Every interaction was pleasant, professional, and thoughtful, and the service felt elevated without ever feeling stiff or impersonal. I travel often and don’t give reviews like this lightly. This was far more than a beautiful hotel — it was an exceptional hospitality experience. Perry Lane has created something very special in Savannah, and Saivon, Precious, Reign, and the entire team are a tremendous reflection of it. Absolutely five stars, and I would return without hesitation.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Absolutely Exceptional Stay! From the second we walked through the doors, I knew this was going to be a fantastic stay. The experience started with Carter at check-in, who was absolutely phenomenal. He was incredibly genuine, welcoming, and sincere. I can honestly say it was one of the best and most memorable check-in experiences I’ve ever had at a hotel. It didn’t feel scripted or transactional at all—Carter genuinely made us feel welcomed and excited to be there. We also had the pleasure of meeting Cristian, the manager, who was equally amazing. Extremely friendly, personable, and genuinely interested in making sure we were having a great experience. The interactions we had with both Carter and Cristian completely set the tone for our stay. In fact, from those first few interactions, I was already thinking about when we could come back! The hotel itself absolutely delivers as well. The amenities are phenomenal, and the pool and rooftop area are incredible. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to spend time enjoying the hotel rather than simply using it as somewhere to sleep. Exceptional hospitality can completely change a hotel experience, and Carter and Cristian are perfect examples of that. They made an already beautiful property feel even more special. Highly, highly recommend staying here. We will absolutely be back!

The level of personalized service as this hotel is like nothing I have ever experienced elsewhere. Pre-stay requests? Randy the concierge is quick to respond and eager to please. Checking in? Reign at the front desk will make you feel like family she will even give you a little serenade. Need a ride? Taylor will greet and drive you in a beautiful and spacious vehicle to your destination. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The pool is small but lovely and the rooftop bar and restaurant hit all the right notes. Complimentary bubbles (and if you time it right, cookies too!) in the lobby and served with a smile. Don’t keep looking elsewhere, this is where you want to be.
