recently had the opportunity to stay at the Thompson Savannah, and it left a very strong impression on me—in all the right ways. From the moment I arrived, what stood out most was the level of customer service. It was consistent, genuine, and professional without ever feeling scripted. Every interaction—front desk, restaurant staff, housekeeping—was handled with care and attention. You can tell when a team is well-led and takes pride in their work, and that’s clearly the case here. It made the entire experience feel welcoming and easy. The facility itself is exceptional. It strikes a balance that’s not always easy to achieve—modern and upscale, yet comfortable and inviting. The design is clean and intentional, with a sense that every detail has been thought through. Nothing feels out of place, and nothing feels excessive. It’s simply well done. My room was outstanding. Spacious, quiet, and beautifully appointed. There’s a level of comfort there that allows you to settle in quickly, which I always appreciate after a long day of travel. The finishes are high quality, the layout is functional, and the overall feel is one of understated luxury. It’s the kind of room where you can both relax and recharge. The dining experience was equally strong. The restaurant offers a great atmosphere—lively but not overwhelming—and the service matched the tone of the hotel: attentive, professional, and authentic. The food itself was excellent. It’s not just convenient dining—it’s a place you actually want to spend time in, which says a lot. And then there’s the location. It really couldn’t be better. Close to everything Savannah has to offer, yet just far enough removed from the busiest areas to feel calm and manageable. Whether you’re walking along the river or heading into the historic district, it’s all easily accessible. What I appreciated most about my stay is that nothing felt forced. There’s a quiet confidence to how the Thompson Savannah operates. They’re not trying to impress you—they just do things the right way, consistently. And in my experience, that’s what separates a good stay from a truly memorable one. This is a first-rate property with a team that clearly understands hospitality. I would absolutely return—and more importantly, I would recommend it without hesitation.

Quietest hotel we have ever stayed in. Exceptional staff, very nice room and beautiful bathroom. They make a house car available to reserve and will take you anywhere within a 3 mile radius. Was awesome because we didn't have to Uber nearly as much as usual. We would definitely stay here again.

Staff and service is not a 10 out of 10, but a 15 out of 10!! The accommodations and restaurants onsite superb! I will stay a gain both for business and personal the views are bot great water or city. Highly recommend and like that is is close but not to close to the touristy River street very walkable. Love my new favorite Hyatt!

Terrible experience. Barely greeted at check in, no mention of our Hyatt benefits or breakfast. We were gone all throughout the day and our room was never cleaned or turned down. Not worth the money at all

I recently stayed at the Thompson Savannah for a work team offsite. The property itself is beautiful, the rooms are well designed, and the service throughout the stay was excellent. Everything for our meeting ran smoothly and the staff was very accommodating. While the hotel isn’t directly in the heart of downtown Savannah, it’s just a quick and very scenic walk along the river to get there. The riverfront path is beautiful and made getting into the main part of town easy and enjoyable. Overall, it was a fantastic stay. Great for both business events and leisure travel . I’d absolutely recommend it and would happily stay there again.
