The Thompson was conveniently located to shopping and dining. Beautiful and clean rooms. The rooftop restaurant/bar was a great experience as well with wonderful views of the city. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

Fantastic experience in my latest stay at the Thompson Savannah! Hotel maintains a high level of cleanliness in both the rooms and the grounds. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will be glad to return anytime I am in the Savannah area.

What truly sets Thompson Savannah apart is the staff. From arrival to departure, the level of kindness, professionalism, and proactive service made this a standout stay. I traveled with my dog, and the team made it easy from the start—no pet fee (a big plus), a park directly across the street for walks, and a staff member who went out of their way to help me find dog-friendly dining options nearby. That kind of thoughtful assistance makes a real difference when traveling with a pet. The room was large, modern, and very comfortable. The bed was excellent, and housekeeping was consistently thorough—everything was spotless throughout my three-night stay, which reflected real pride in the guest experience. Service touches continued beyond the basics. One evening I used the complimentary town car, which was seamless and added an extra layer of ease and polish to the stay. Dining on property was also excellent, especially Bar Julian, where I ate multiple times thanks to great food, drinks, and attentive service. A couple of minor notes for future guests: there’s no pet-friendly dining on property (though there are plenty of great options nearby in Savannah), and my partial water view required more than a bit of craning to see the view. Neither detracted from my enjoyment. Overall, this was a polished, welcoming, and genuinely service-driven experience. The staff made me feel cared for throughout my stay, and that’s what will bring me back. Highly recommend.

We traveled through a company Pack Up and Go! A company that plans suprise trips! We gave them a budget, filled out a survey of our likes and dislikes! They arranged everything! We arrived at the airport, opened our travel envelope and found we were off to Savannah! The hotel was wonderful, our adventures grand! Did I forget to mention great food?

The rooms are beautiful but lack storage for guests belongings. The destination fee does not include parking. There is a city parking deck nearby but it is not come and go. Street parking by meter is available or a guest can use $57 per day valet. The hotel car takes guests anywhere within 3 miles if reserved in advance. The hotel is off the beaten path but guests can walk by the river to Savannah attractions. The pool and rooftop bar are attractive amenities and the food is very good.
