These are the most friendly people I may have ever met. They made sure we had everything we could possibly want. They called us family and we felt like family. I don’t know how but it seemed as tho everyone knew us by name. Can’t say enough about the positive experience. And the place itself is phenomenal… it has everything you could want….

Amazing stay at Koro Sun. Sake took care of everything from friendly door to door transportation to late night WiFi needs. He even waited at the airport until our plane took off. The hotel staff were warm, inviting, and knew all of our names by the end of the stay. The goodbye song send off was priceless. The food was delicious while showcasing the local cuisine. The menu was different every day. The Bures were impeccably clean and each one was unique. Daily laundry service great. All amenities in king pool, beach, snorkeling, kayaking, scuba diving on site and in addition daily excursions offered like waterfall hike and local tours. We will definitely be back! BULA

We recently spent 6 days at Koro Sun. It is a gorgeous property nestled between a rain forest and the ocean. The staff was very attentive, especially Filipe. He was super attentive and really made our stay at the resort a delight. 5 stars to him. We had a beautiful bure on the waters edge. Loved the wood floors, comfy bed, the rain showers with rock walls. Really cool. There was also a hammock in our private patio/yard along with a lounging bed to tan on a enjoy the view. The view was breathtaking over looking the lagoon. The whole property was gorgeous. It was fun just exploring the property. We also highly recommend the spa which is situated in the rain forest. love.

Skip Koro Sun. Spend Your Money Where Fiji Actually Lives. Nine nights. Nine nights we handed over our hard-earned dollars to Koro Sun Resort — and it took one afternoon with real Fijians to expose exactly what we’d been missing. Let’s start with the insult hiding in plain sight: you fly across the Pacific Ocean to one of the most culturally rich island nations on earth, and Koro Sun hands you a menu of burgers, quesadillas, and pizza. Not a single authentic Fijian dish. Not a whisper of kokoda, not a bowl of duruka, not a proper lovo feast — nothing. Just an American diner experience gift-wrapped in tropical landscaping and sold back to you at luxury prices. The audacity is staggering. But the food is almost beside the point. What Koro Sun is truly selling — and what it categorically fails to deliver — is Fiji. The real Fiji. The Fiji that belongs to its people. Instead, the resort actively works to keep you away from it. They’ll warn you off outside tours with vague, paternalistic “safety” concerns. It’s a lie, and a self-serving one. The moment we ignored them and booked independently, our entire trip transformed. Hot mud pools. A waterfall rinse beneath a jungle canopy. A kava ceremony conducted with genuine warmth and ritual. Two village visits where families opened their homes to us. Snorkeling in waters no resort rope could ever own. And meals — real meals — of mud crab, kawakawa fish, taro, and kumquat juice, prepared by people who have fed their families from this land for generations. That is Fiji. That is what Koro Sun is quietly, deliberately standing between you. Operators like Epeli at Muanivatu Trails will show you more authentic warmth and cultural generosity in a single afternoon than Koro Sun managed across nine full nights. These are the custodians of the land the resort profits from — land the resort uses in its own advertising while refusing to so much as acknowledge the villages that own it. Let that sink in. They market the landscape and the culture, then do everything in their power to ensure you never actually experience either. The operational failures compound the insult: a cashless property that charges you 3% to use a credit card. No ATM on site. No room phones. Two of three restaurants demand you pre-order dinner by 2 p.m. — not as a suggestion, but as a requirement. And when our flight was delayed and the rain was pouring down, they shuffled us onto an early shuttle — not for our comfort, but to free up the vehicle for incoming, revenue-generating guests. Departing guests are inventory that’s already been processed. Koro Sun didn’t show us Fiji. Fiji’s own people did. Eat with Fijians. Learn from Fijians. Let them take you to the mud pools, the waterfalls, the villages, the kava ceremonies, the fishing boats. Let them cook for you. Let them tell you the stories of this land in their own words, on their own terms. Fiji is extraordinary. Koro Sun just happens to be in the way of it.

Super family friendly. Our 4 kids didn’t want to leave kids club. Waterslide was a hit! Gorgeous grounds, food and staff. Must try the banana leaf spa treatment inside the rainforest.
