Like a good pasta sauce, Rocco Forte's Verdura Resort combines many ingredients. First, take an enviable location – the southwest coast of Sicily, near the town of Sciacca – and add three Kyle Phillips-designed golf courses hugging the coast over rolling hills. Combine pools that reflect the distant mountains and low-lying buildings that mirror Sciacca's angular appeal. Finish with the type of cuisine that puts Sicily on the world's culinary map.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Vedura. The restaurants were amazing, the room was lovely. The golf course was beautiful and the beach was perfect. We felt appreciated, and cared for by the staff. We will definitely be back!

The setting is really beautiful and epitomizes Sicily. The staff and their service are extremely professional and friendly. The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and functional. The six restaurants are all excellent quality and the differentiated offer amongst them is appealing. This was our sixth or seventh stay and it was the best. The price quality ratio is fait given the quality of the offer.

Had dinner at Amare which was great - fresh seafood - however we finished with a night cap at Scirocco and the staff we not only the most attentive we have had on our stay but made sure we enjoyed our delicious drinks! So happy we decided to stop in (and they had live music!)

A magnificent experience on the Sicilian coast. The hotel is truly a resort - multiple different dining options, superb service, and a beautiful set of amenities. I specifically want to call out the gym - glorious. Hard to find well equipped gyms in Europe and this one rivals some of the best. Breakfast was phenomenal - so many options - and the views outside couldn't be beat. A definite must for those who want to go off the beaten path a little.

The golf course was in a very poor state - we were told because of the lack of rain but there were many areas that were poor which was not due to the weather. Was not told of the condition before arriving - would have rescheduled if we had been advised! Response from General Manager regarding the issue was not adequate. I was in Costa Navarino just before my visit to Verdura and the courses were in immaculate condition - would advise people to go there instead?
