Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Bungalows is situated on nearly 23 acres of sweeping desert landscape at the base of Camelback Mountain. Mid-century modern interiors draw inspiration from the innovative 1950's desert art scene with an eclectic mix of bright colors, folk art and cultural patterns. The Guest House, a central gathering place that invites visitors to inhabit, explore and create, resembles an artist’s studio in design and offers board games and coloring books, a stocked library and live rotating art collection. The Turquoise Pool features private cabanas and a bar offering up seasonal treats like spiked popsicles and punchbowls.

One of the coolest and best resorts. Gorgeous landscaping. Cool desert landscape. Great pool deck. Restaurant is excellent. Great service. Its cool to have other restaurants and conveniences nearby. I love having free coffee in the morning.

Review of Andaz Resort – 5-Night Stay If you're looking for a nice, relaxing resort, Andaz is a good option to consider. The atmosphere is peaceful, but overall, I found it a little overpriced for the quality and service you get. Here's how I would grade different parts of my experience: Customer Service – 7/10 Service was inconsistent. I requested an early check-in, but no one followed up. I had to check back personally, and when I finally did, I was told the delay was because the prior guest hadn’t checked out on time. I didn’t get into my room until more than an hour after the standard check-in time. This caused us to miss getting ready properly for our dinner reservation. At the cabana near the pool connected to my room, food and drinks were slow to arrive, and unless we were right in the main pool area, service felt like an afterthought. Food – 8/10 The food was excellent, with a decent variety to choose from. One of the definite highlights of the stay. Drinks – 7/10 The drink selection was limited, and while they were okay, nothing really stood out as exceptional.

Our stay in Andaz was enjoyable and a great experience. We booked the Saarinen Studio Suite with Amex platinum. Unfortunately we were told it’s the highest category of room that they can’t upgrade us anymore. Checkin was efficient and we were given a lot of information of the property along with delicious welcome drink. The room was very cold when we walked in and felt good on a hot day. The room is nice and clean, with open concept closet and another desk on the side which I thought works functional. The shower water pressure was great, water is hot. Bed is very comfortable and duvet is soft and comfy. Overall the room is very nice except it’s kind of dark, and the little yard needs some maintenances such as removing the weeds and cleaning the outdoor furnitures. We weren’t able to really enjoy the patio because it looks unmaintained. The fitness center has both cardio and weights equipments, it’s small but got all the thing needed. The restaurant serves delicious Mediterranean food for dinner. $60 credit for breakfast was not enough for two since the menu item price is high. They are also some great activities to join for fun which is thoughtful.

Beautiful property! The bungalows were spacious and well decorated. Huge bathroom with a private enclosed patio. The spa was a great experience as well. Service across the board was excellent. Didn't love the music level at the main pool but the adult pool offered a relaxing alternative. I would definitely return!

My wife and I came to the Andaz for a quick weekend getaway without the kids. We’ve been to the Andaz in Maui, so we had high hopes for this hotel. However, something is just off with this hotel. First, the grounds leave much to be desired. It’s basically a concrete jungle with bungalows spread out around the fairly limited grounds. There’s really not much to look at that is in anyway aesthetically pleasing. Second, the pool is not big enough for the size of the hotel and they cater to day guests who I presume are locals. The pool scene itself is confusing—loud blaring music with several large groups looking to party. At the same time, since there’s only one pool, the hotel was full of kids too. The lounge chairs at the pool could use a refresh as many of the ones we sat in were broken. Third, the beds were way too stiff. I think this hotel has a bit of an identity crisis. Is it catering to couples looking for a relaxing getaway? Likely not with the loud music and party scene at the pool. I certainly wouldn’t bring my kids here even though there were a decent amount of kids by the pool. The whole hotel just felt off. The location is weird right off the main road tucked behind a small strip mall and the grounds of the hotel are nothing special. The only positive was the food. Breakfast at the main restaurant and lunch by the pool was very good. We were staying on points and were shocked to see how much they charge per night at this hotel (700 the weekend we were there) given the experience we had. Avoid the Andaz. There are much better resorts in the area.
