Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Bungalows is situated on nearly 23 acres of sweeping desert landscape at the base of Camelback Mountain. Mid-century modern interiors draw inspiration from the innovative 1950's desert art scene with an eclectic mix of bright colors, folk art and cultural patterns. The Guest House, a central gathering place that invites visitors to inhabit, explore and create, resembles an artist’s studio in design and offers board games and coloring books, a stocked library and live rotating art collection. The Turquoise Pool features private cabanas and a bar offering up seasonal treats like spiked popsicles and punchbowls.

We got the wedding rate so it was $200 less than rack rate. I had heard this was a posh resort where celebrities stay. The resort is on an enormous property with 20+ acres. I was looking forward to having an experience, something fantastic that was worth splurging on. Nope. It was underwhelming to say the least. Website and front desk clerk said there is a complimentary car service (within 3 or 5 miles, I forget exactly). However the next day, I asked if we can the cat service take us to a luncheon less than 2 miles away. I was told they could arrange for a service that would cost $150 or to use Uber/Lyft which would be cheaper. What?! Don't advertise you have complimentary car service if you don't! I would have rented a car if I knew this was the case. Rooms are small. The entryway area of the room is spacious but right next to it is the bathroom. Toilet has a door for privacy but with frosted glass so you can still see what the person is doing inside!! No bathtub, just a regular glass shower with plain showerhead. Not even a massaging, adjustable nozzle one. The sink is a single but I stayed in a 2 queen bedroom. My teens & I had to take turns to wash our hands, blow dry our hair, brush our teeth. It was ridiculous. The main pool is plain and boring. There are cabanas but who cares if the pool sucks. I've stayed at The Phoenician that has a beautiful cacti garden and amazing pools with wonderful cabanas. For a place that charges over $600/night + enormous Resort Fee, it is not worth it. If you're thinking of staying here to impress your SO, this is not it. I will never stay at Andaz again. Save your money.

Andaz hit it out of the park with everything. The staff are super friendly and the pool area there is amazing. I had both breakfast and lunch at weft & warp and both were delicious a bit pricy but really worth it. The room was very clean and well maintained.

My stay at Andaz exceeded all expectations. There was a minor issue at the beginning regarding the authorization on my credit card, but the Andaz team handled it graciously and even offered me a complimentary room upgrade, for which I’m truly grateful. I especially appreciated the “text for any request” service—it felt incredibly thoughtful and convenient, especially as an introvert who finds this form of communication much more comfortable. The oversized frosted glass in the bathroom brought me so much joy and calm, and the open-air courtyard design was simply delightful. A truly memorable stay!

Great accommodations and gorgeous landscaping/vista. I was meeting up with 25+ other girlfriends from across the US and we had the retreat area all to ourselves. What an amazing and special experience. It was truly a perfect place for our get together and the staff were very accommodating for our group dinners and other special requests (both planned and impromptu). Very close (walking distance) to things like Trader Joe's for snacks/staples, but when inside the retreat area, you would never know it!!! Easy access to hiking and downtown Phoenix via Uber, etc. Early May was PERFECT weather!!!! Only negative comment is that the resort is 100% CASHLESS and this is not communicated anywhere. This will work fine for most people (and usually me!), but I had planned to pay for all of my resort expenses with cash so was left traveling with $$$$ on me.

The rooms, grounds, and staff are excellent. We enjoyed just staying on property, taking advantage of all the facilities and on-site restaurant–the food and drinks were excellent. This is our third Andaz stay, and I can’t wait for the next.
