Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Bungalows is situated on nearly 23 acres of sweeping desert landscape at the base of Camelback Mountain. Mid-century modern interiors draw inspiration from the innovative 1950's desert art scene with an eclectic mix of bright colors, folk art and cultural patterns. The Guest House, a central gathering place that invites visitors to inhabit, explore and create, resembles an artist’s studio in design and offers board games and coloring books, a stocked library and live rotating art collection. The Turquoise Pool features private cabanas and a bar offering up seasonal treats like spiked popsicles and punchbowls.

My husband & I enjoyed our stay at Andaz Scottsdale Resort the last week of May. The Weather was perfect to enjoy outdoor activities and dining. The resort is spread out and has many spots to sit and enjoy the view. Fire pits and lawn chairs are located throughout the property. We enjoyed the walk from our room to the restaurant. Our bungalow was spacious and clean - every amenity you could ask for was included. Every staff member we encountered was smiling & friendly. Marc at check-in greeted us warmly and told us about the property. And Samantha at check-out was just as nice. I would highly recommend staying at the Andaz and would gladly stay there again if in the area!

Wonderful vacation resort. The grounds and amenities are like no other. Perfect location with wonderful staff is the reason we return each year.

The resort was outstanding! Check-in was seamless which included a welcome drink. Breakfast was outstanding along with the credit given to me as a Globalist, and it was neat watching through a glass wall the chefs preparing the food plates. I enjoyed several visits to the pool as it was available to guests 24-hours as day. My wife also made several comments about the bungalow in which we were placed. We will be back again!

** Bottom Line: Skip this property and book at the Kimpton Miralina, save $400/night, get better pools, better service - but may need to sacrifice a bit on the room ** (Read below for more details). We are a couple who wanted to get away for the Memorial Day Weekend. I had a corporate offsite at the Kimpton Miralina and then we changed over to the Andaz for a getaway - which allows me to compare both properties fairly well. Our experience was far below what we expected for the nightly cost of this property. Pros: The Adobo-style rooms were very cute and they had really gorgeous bathrooms and ours had a small little sun bathing balcony beyond the bathrooms. On property gym was spectacular with great equipment, multiple Peloton bikes (3 available), and an outdoor space for grounds and the row machine. Quiet, albeit small, 18+ pool that is separated from the commotion of the property. Issues we experienced: * All the furniture was dated. Outdoor pool furniture was faded by the sun and bird droppings * Pool towels are old and rough * Staff was inattentive or perhaps overstretched (took over an hour to get breakfast) * Lack of entertainment to borrow from the front desk (i.e. board games, cards etc). * Limited ability to stream movies from our personal devices. They do have Google Cast - but engineering did now show up to help us get our devices connected, despite the front desk assuring that they would be sent over.
