I did not stay at this resort, but I got a pool pass, so my review is of that alone. The pool pass was one of the more affordable ones among upscale resorts in Scottsdale. Check-in for the pool pass was super easy - we drove up to the front entrance and stated what we were there for. Within less than a minute, one of the workers delivered our passes. We then parked in the lot nearby, which was very convenient to the pool area. We stuck to the adults-only pool since we did not want to be around kids (no offense to them...). The pool definitely needs a little more shade, although the umbrella did help a bit. The adults-only pool is kind of basic, and could definitely stand to have some kind of water feature. Perhaps if it's remodeled at some point, they will add one. We all enjoyed a few drinks from the pool bar. The service was great! The drink prices are what you'd expect of a 5-star resort. We enjoyed our time here and felt that we got a pretty good deal on the passes considering the prices of competing resorts. I'd be interested in doing a staycation at Fairmont Scottsdale Princess sometime - the grounds look beautiful, and I'm sure it's a gorgeous resort overall!

When we planned a long weekend at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess (Friday through Monday) to celebrate my husband's birthday, our goal was simple: relax, enjoy the resort, and experience as much of the property as possible. Four days later, we left wondering why we'd waited so long to visit. Rather than spending our days rushing from place to place, we intentionally wanted to immerse ourselves in everything the resort had to offer - from the pools and spa to the restaurants, room service, and even a little exploring around Scottsdale. Looking back, it was the perfect way to experience the property. Our weekend got off to a wonderful start with an effortless check-in before being driven by golf cart to our room overlooking one of the resort's beautiful pools. Within minutes we were poolside with a chilled glass of rosé, officially in vacation mode. What surprised us most throughout the weekend wasn't the beauty of the resort - although it certainly is beautiful - it was the consistency of the experience. Every interaction, regardless of department, felt welcoming, polished, and genuinely guest-focused. That's much harder to achieve than impressive buildings or beautiful landscaping, and it didn't go unnoticed. If you enjoy traveling as much for great food as beautiful resorts, the Scottsdale Princess absolutely delivers. Our first evening at Toro was unforgettable. The dramatic entrance, flickering lights, fire performers, and lively atmosphere made dinner feel like an event. General Manager Clayton Lindberg took the time to introduce himself, setting the tone for the level of hospitality we experienced throughout the weekend. The sashimi, sweet corn empanadas, Texas New York strip, and the over-the-top "La Bomba" dessert were all outstanding. The following evening we enjoyed Bourbon Steak, where we were warmly greeted by name and treated to impeccable service from beginning to end. Fresh oysters, a perfectly prepared New York strip, and an incredible bluefin toro special flown in from Japan made for a memorable meal, capped off by an exceptional Basque cheesecake crème brûlée. Our final dinner at La Hacienda was every bit as enjoyable. Watching fresh guacamole prepared tableside exactly to our preference, sampling mezcal with guidance from their knowledgeable specialist, enjoying what may have been the best margaritas we've ever had, and finishing with lobster tacos, filet a la parrilla, and a delicious tres leches crème brûlée was a wonderful way to end the weekend. Even the casual dining exceeded expectations. Ironwood served one of the most comforting lunches we've had in years, and room service somehow delivered what may honestly have been the best turkey club sandwich I've ever eaten. The Well & Being Spa deserves its own recognition. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his facial, while my deep tissue massage was among the best I've experienced anywhere. As someone who lives with chronic back issues, that's praise I don't give lightly. Another pleasant surprise was the location. Although the resort feels like a true getaway, it's only about 30 minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. We spent part of one afternoon enjoying OdySea Aquarium and Old Town Scottsdale before happily returning to the resort for another relaxing evening. Luxury resorts can build beautiful pools, elegant rooms, and outstanding restaurants. Genuine hospitality, however, comes from the people who create the experience each day, and that's where the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess truly stands out. To the front desk, housekeeping, valet, room service, spa team, restaurant staff, and everyone working behind the scenes, thank you. Your kindness, professionalism, attention to detail, and obvious pride in what you do made Vicente's birthday celebration feel truly special. The best vacations are the ones where, before you've even unpacked your suitcase, you're already talking about when you can return. That was exactly how we felt driving back to the airport. Thank you for an unforgettable weekend. We look forward to seeing you again. Rob Marandino

We’ve been coming to the Princess almost every summer for the past 10 years and I’m sad to say this was by far the least enjoyable summer we’ve had here. The Princess resort usually goes ALL out with their summer theme and activities and this year was a disappointment. There weren’t any special theme activities, no foam party, no nighttime glow party, no theme welcome gifts for the kids. We even brought another family for their first time here and it was a little embarrassing that’s nothing was really going on after how much we talked about how amazing this resort was. We were looking forward to going to the spa as we always do and the men’s spa was under construction (not the resorts fault) but It would’ve been nice if it was mentioned on their website. And there was cloudy weather on one of the days we were there where they had to close down the pools for a brief moment. (Again not the resorts fault) The weather improved later that evening and the clouds passed as well as the wind however, they completely did away with the movie that night, which was very disappointing. Other minor annoyances: the golf cart shuttles took way longer than usual for transportation during the entire weekend. Both of the sinks in our bathroom only had one faucet handle working, one side only hot worked one side only cold worked and one of the sinks turned out to be clogged. Yes, these are just minor inconveniences but when you’re paying so much for a resort experience you don’t expect these things to happen.

We celebrated our anniversary in a king guest room at this delightful resort. The room was comfortable and very spacious . The bed was so comfortable like sleeping on a fluffy cloud. Spacious room with balcony. Lots of space for storage , clean . Impressive amenities, even robe and slippers and upscale shampoo and conditioners. The property is beautiful and well maintained. Pools are clean and well stocked with towels and cold water. We went to princess pool and beach pool. Rode bikes that were provided and enjoyed walking on the trail by the pond. Pool service is very good and food was good quality. Generous drinks . Highly recommend. The staff is very friendly and always willing to assist
