The Scott Resort & Spa

The security guard with the pubic hair on his face was a complete jerk. He was making up, lies to get us to move for some photos. We were not blocking anything as a matter of fact, we even opened the door for many of the people coming in and out. I asked him if he was doing out of spite and he said that, yes, he was.

Great resort! I loved the location. Close enough to Old Scottsdale where all the unique shops, restaurant and history is. Resort was high end feel, accommodating and clean. It was easy to get to all activities from here. They have a great pool area but unfortunately we were there the only cool days that were in April. I would love to go back.

The Scott is an unexpected gem in the heart of Scottsdale. The atmosphere takes you back to 1950’s Cuba in the best way: decor, music, food & drinks. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We had one or two small issues with our room, & the front desk addressed them promptly. The hotel has a 1956 Bel Air to shuttle guests around Scottsdale. We got to be the first guests to ride in it after a lengthy maintenance and restoration of the vehicle. Rocko, our driver, was so friendly and knowledgeable. Both of us are very particular about the way that our martinis are made. Mike, at the bar, not only crafted our order to perfection, but he also remembered our names and how to make our drinks every time we came down to the Canal Club each evening. This was our first visit to Scottsdale, and the hotel made an exceptional impression. We will definitely be returning.

I was planning a trip for March and accidentally booked a room for the same day as I was booking. February 19,2025. I immediately realized my mistake and called the hotel 2 minutes later to say I needed to cancel that reservation and make reservations for 3 weeks away. After calling 4 different times to speak to a supervisor, my request was denied. I understand the 24 hour cancellation policy but thought that since I rebooked and it was an obvious mistake that they could have refunded me the $550.00. Even a partial refund. Super disappointing as that is a lot of money to be out for a simple mistake

This is a conference center more than a resort and spa. On both days, half of the common areas were reserved or dominated by conference participants. There were no tables or reservations available for meals. Housekeeping entered our room at 8:30am after a light tap that we thought was coming from the room nextdoor. I called the front desk and they told me I was wrong because housekeeping didn’t start until later. I definitely spoke to the person when she came into our room! Every time we mentioned issues to the staff we were just told sorry, with one exception, Ashley. She was so kind and supportive. We could not use the hot tub because that part of the pool was booked for the conference so we left for our dinner, as we had to do unless we wanted to eat at the overcrowded bar and lobby, and came back to a cold hot tub. Ashley was helpful and spoke with engineering to get it working again. After an hour it was better but not quite there so we gave up. Our spa appointments went well and the staff was kind. The resort is absolutely gorgeous and right from the start, we began plans to come back. Sadly, this is not the resort experience we had hoped to find and we were treated like more of an inconvenience than guests.
