Reviews for Hilton Motif Seattle

Disappointed

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

The positive point was that Hilton Motif is located in a prime area of downtown Seattle and is close to most tourist attractions. On the down side; the rooms are old and not updated. The mattress on our bed was a complete wreck. Pillows were also low quality and felt like rubber tubes. Hotel refused to provide a mat towel for the bathroom, so need to really watch when you step out of the shower on the tile floor. The hotel parking is extremely expensive, and as a bonus the gates don't work when you want to get out; we needed to call for help every time. At checkout, they charged us an additional $28 a night just because they can, so the price we thought we had to pay per night to book the room was false advertising. Overall for a dated establishment, it is only riding on the popularity of Seattle downtown and has no good value to offer on its own. I would not recommend staying here.

big security and safety risk, lower standards facilities and bad attitude

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

This hotel has very big security risk and facilities lower than 4stars which prove they charge and the building design problem. The family room is located on the 3rd floor, door beside meeting room. There is no control on the elevator and the access to the guest living area. It means everyone can go into the living area. And the only way to close the light is removing door card which results in the fell down risk during night if guest goes to the toilet. And the door btw two rooms is not locked. There is only handheld shower but not the base and the top in their ad. The reception wants to charge 700 usd extra to move us to the executive room and threaten throwing us to the street in the midnight. We didn’t quarantine with them but just show the problems. They acknowledge their problems but can’t give us another room. Finally they gave us another hotel contact and move us out. 重大安全隐患,人身安全问题,设施低于四星且存在设计问题,知道自己的问题但不改善,威胁客人,乱要价格,态度强硬,不建议选择入住。

First Visit

Good location. Room lovely. Breakfast good variety. When we checked in were not given breakfast vouchers but rectified on our first breakfast. We were charged twice for our 2 night stay but this was eventually sorted and refunded. Overall a nice hotel and would stay again.

Clueless in Seattle

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

The hotel, location staff and amenities are all worthy of 5 stars. However, this location's fee structure would be worthy of Ryan Air. There is a $25 daily charge to provide WiFi. Each service includes also 20% service fee - 85% of which goes to the service staff and 15% to the hotel presumably to distribute the money. Then they ask you on the bill for a tip. Breakfast is $32 each. Our first breakfast for two cost $94 after including taxes. My companion had a muffin and a piece of fruit. The venue used to be on the roof but has been moved to a first floor storefront during renovations. Today due to a private brunch function the Hilton buffet was moved to a conference room. Being a diamond member I got a $15 discount, and a coupon for a free beer or glass of wine. For our return stay we have chosen a different hotel.
