What a treat.

Great room. This was an unexpected treat. Lots of space. Nice sitting area. Wonderful bathroom comfy beds. Will stay again. Loved the bakery across the road and the Italian restaurant next door. Our stay could not have been better.

Some of the room design...

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

...features were a bit quirky, but overall it was fine. The bed was unusually low to the floor. A light hanging over the bar sink was oddly positioned very low at forehead level - doink! One spotlight on a pole had no on/off switch, and we couldn't find a wall switch that controlled it, so we unplugged it. The doorless shower with fixed glass combined with a single handle valve made it difficult to avoid a blast of cold water when first turning on the water. The overall sf size of our junior suite room was ample, but some bulky side chairs, table, and flat screen tv made the space feel cramped. Our room faced 4th Ave. and the soundproofing was good for most street traffic, except for a few late-night fire / police sirens which pierced right thru. The room was clean and the location was fine for our pre-cruise stay and for visiting a few downtown Seattle sights. Except for one homeless person interrupting our sidewalk dinner at the pizza restaurant directly across the street from the hotel, walking around was trouble-free. More hills than I was expecting though ;)

Pricey. 4 out of 6 USB plugs don't work, amenities hidden, furniture low to floor

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

The furniture is lower to the floor than any other hotel I've seen.. A bit difficult to stand up from them - if you have back issues, you should consider a different hotel. (I'm 5'7" with some back issues, so I'll have to avoid this hotel chain in the future). Beds are very comfortable, squishy soft but adequately supportive. Great views of the hotel AC and a broken-down apartment building. Small bathroom, barely adequate counter, odd placement of towel racks. Hand towel rack located across the bathroom, so you have to reach with dripping hands. I solved the issue somewhat by opening the drawer below the sink, and closing one end of the towel on it so that it hund in front of sink. Slightly better. A towel shelf/rack located IN the shower seems rather impractical, but ok. of the 6 USB charge ports we found in the room, only 2 work. For such a pricey hotel, that's annoying. We were scrambling for plugs, and taking turns in charging, Not something I enjoy in a $400+ hotel. Otherwise it was quiet, comfortable, and bathroom plumbing worked well. We actually stayed 2 diff nights, and the first time was VERY annoying - it seems they hide everything. I learned to open any drawer I see. My husband actually went OUTSIDE the hotel and down the street somewhere to get ice. We later found bagged ice in the drawers of a piece of furniture across from the elevators 🙄. The second night we stayed, I had learned to hunt for things in drawers, but still couldn't find creamer for my coffee. I did open a drawer to find coffee pods, (which take a bit of experimentation to learn to use) but didn't realize the drawer opened more - the creamer was way in the back. They need to post some signage or instructions. Hotel isn't user-friendly to me.

Character building. Convenient location. Good service. Spacious and comfortable room.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Classic building that has been well renovated as the hotel with restaurant/bar on the ground floor. Convenient location on 4th to the waterfront or central shopping area. Spacious and comfortable room. Nice lobby area and staff. The lack of a hotel restaurant and breakfast inclusion/availability was the main let down.

Luxury, quiet, great night sleep, great bar. In town to be a guest on the Tom Douglas Podcast recorded in the hotel’s commercial kitchen on the 2nd floor. Had a fantastic stay. Great shopping and dining nearby. Quiet room, very clean. Gorgeous modern and stylish. Will stay again.
