Comfortable Elegance

Best hotel experience in Seattle. If you desire European ambience with Pacific Northwest flannel shirt comfort you will love Populus. Cozy cafe and romantic rooftop bar.

Fabulous location in pioneer square and a stones throw from the stadium. Walkable to the waterfront, sporting events and shopping district. Comfortable rooms. Pleasant and helpful staff. If you don’t feel like going anywhere, the restaurant and rooftop bar are perfectly relaxing with a great menu and yummy cocktails.

Incredible boutique gem in heart of pioneer square

This hotel is an absolute gem. In a busy part of Seattle during summer months it was a respite but perfectly located to walk everywhere in the city we need to be. The hotel is beautiful, rooms are comfortable and beds are incredible. We were a multigenerational family with young kids who are experienced travelers. Hotel catered well to them. Rooftop bar is top notch- it feels both very Seattle and Pacific Northwest and European at the same time. Hospitality and staff were very welcoming and helpful. Would return every time in Seattle. The daily drink at the cafe is a great perk. Appreciate all the sustainability efforts on site as well.

Lighting a huge issue!

Cute place - dark lighting environment. Unless you bionic eye sight don't stay here... The lighting in the rooms are horrible. Staff is great - food is great.

Upscale respect to our region

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Incredible location to the stadiums. I'm a Seattle native and loved its authentic Pacific Northwest vibe of plants and nature all while being very upscale and elegant. So many hotels have a similar sterile fancy feel. This place is different and a wonderful representation to our region. Make sure to appreciate the huge old growth timbers that were used over a century ago to hold this place up. Rooms are on the small side for what you pay but beautiful. Make sure to spend some time lounging in the Nature Library. They even had two beautiful acoustic guitars available in one of their lounge areas I was able to pickup and play a few songs for my date.
