Reviews for Populus Seattle

beautifully connected to nature

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

The Populus is located within walking distance to many attractions and the train station and about is a 40 minute drive from the airport. From the moment you walk through the front doors you see the thought and creativity that went in to every detail. The design is incredibly artsy and sophisticated without being overly formal. The architecture, textures, artwork and natural elements create an atmosphere that feels both luxurious and warm. What I especially loved was how the hotel brings the outdoors in. The nature inspired design gives it a fresh calming feel while still maintaining a very modern and upscale aesthetic. If you're looking for a hotel in Seattle that feels different from the typical luxury property I would highly recommend Populus it's stylish intimate artistic and beautifully connected to nature a truly memorable experience.

Great hotel!

This was the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway. We went to a concert at T Mobile Park. The hotel itself is very nice - high end eco luxurious. We ate at the restaurant one night. Good and drinks were great but very pricey.

Not the best experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Generally it was nice but having another persons sock in our room made us question really how clean it was, even after telling staff they said sorry and that was it. No offers to remove it or anything. Lastly the fire alarm went off at midnight and the entire building had to evacuate, no communication or follow up to say sorry for the inconvenience.

An expensive night in a small dark room.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Our room, 229, was a "Lupine" which looked nothing like the picture on the website. After reading online reviews about noise from the street we had requested a quiet room and were given one on the second floor, which looked into an alley. It was quiet, but was also incredidbly dark. There were just not enough lights. We used flashlights to check that we had not left anything behind. They could easily have placed a floor lamp in the room to brighten it up. The room was also quite small. Be advised that taxes in Seattle are very high. The basic room charge was $454.09 but and taxes and fees (including a $25 "Destination Fee") added $108.37. Valet parking was $70 for one night, but taxes on that added $17.54

Charming & Boutique Company Offsite

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Hosted my team for a company offsite here and it was absolutely perfect. The hotel has such a lovely charm, the staff was attentive both on the corporate and hotel side, the meeting spaces were perfect, the restaurant Salt Harvest was incredible and the rooftop Firn was amazing. Truly all around positive experience and will be back for both professional and personal use!
