Reviews for The State Hotel

Wonderful Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

The staff at this hotel is incredible. First Nadir, who was professional, knowledable, and compassionate as it took us 14 hours to get there and he made sure our room was not cancelled. Dove, who was just as professional and kind. They made you feel so welcomed each time they saw you and were attentive to all your needs. After speaking with Anne,(area manager) I realized that it starts from the top down and her staff couldn't have been nicer. Hotel is kept very nice and the Ben Paris restaurant was wonderful and their staff was just as nice. Highly recommend this hotel.

Very close to the waterfront for access. Easy walking distance to get to path to walk along the sound for exercise and views. Rooms are great and well appointed with the coziest robes ever!

The State Hotel stay is overstated

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The State Hotel is all about location. It’s within walking distance of Pike Place Market, the waterfront, and many of Seattle’s top attractions, making it a convenient base for exploring the city. The rooms are quite small, but that’s to be expected for a boutique hotel in such a prime downtown location. Where the experience falls short is in the overall value. The staff is only somewhat helpful, and the hotel seems intent on nickel-and-diming guests for extras, which is disappointing considering the room rates are already on the expensive side. Overall, it’s a decent place to stay if location is your top priority, but don’t expect exceptional service or great value for the price.

Great location, nickel and dime charges

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

The hotel was clean and nice, as was the room. But the room was small. It is in a great location, which almost justifies the excess nightly cost. But the hotel charges extra to check in even a few minutes early and charges extra to use the TV and/or the internet. I will not return.
