We had a wonderful stay at the Thompson. It is in the perfect location to get all over Seattle (so close to the Link, Pike Place Market, ferries, the monorail, etc.). Our room was fabulous, with an incredible view of the Sound! The staff at the Thompson is professional and highly responsive! I highly recommend this hotel.

Amazing location and hotel experience. This hotel is in the heart of Seattle, right by the Market and close to everything including great restaurants and strolls through town.

The staff was so accommodating and went above and beyond to make our anniversary special. The front desk was exceptionally helpful upon checkin. The location of this hotel is perfect and we can’t wait to return. Our view from our room was stunning

Nice hotel and the rooms were nicely furnished and nice assortment of supplies in the bathroom. Super convenient to the Pike Place Market.

Disappointing Stay – Not What I Expected from Thompson I’ve stayed at the Thompson in Chicago many times and always had a great experience, so I expected the same level of hospitality in Seattle. Unfortunately, this visit was anything but. Every interaction I had with the front desk staff was unwelcoming at best, and in some cases downright rude. It wasn’t just one person or one moment—it was consistent, which made the stay feel uninviting from start to finish. The restaurant was clearly understaffed, and the service reflected that. Even more surprising, a dirty food tray sat outside my room for nearly two days without being picked up. For a hotel that positions itself as a higher-end property, this was a real letdown. Seattle is a great city, but I won’t be returning to this hotel. It missed the mark entirely
