I stayed at this hotel before and remember that I said I wouldn’t stay again. From the outside and the lobby it seems like a really cool Thompson. The staff and check-in and staff at the desk are very helpful. It’s an intimate space. They even helped me get a room that had a lounge chair so I didn’t have to sit in the bed or a desk chair all the time. They have the full keyless check-in that works with your iPhone. But the rooms are substandard with dated decor. There is a noisy air-conditioning unit in every room; the kind you put on a wall in an apartment. Some of the rooms have shears and some curtains and some both. So either you’re exposed to the bums on first street or your room is dark with the curtains drawn. The lighting is very awkward. Some parts are completely dark. Some parts have three lights, and any color temperature goes and no dimming. Traveling with my own hue dimmable Bluetooth bulbs has been a lifesaver. The TV and refrigerator worked. There was hot water, but the plumbing made funny noises after use. A weird thing happened when I went to the restaurant to have a quick snack and drink and bring it up to my room. It was happy hour, so I was offered a smaller menu which I picked from. I was going to bring it to my room, but then I was told that happy hour had to be eaten in the restaurant. The only other person sitting next to me at the bar said “wow you’re really strict with your happy hour.” This is a Cat 5 property. Don’t play games.

PERFECT TRIFECTA: BEST LOCATION (just above and overlooking Pike Place's Public Market, ferries, Puget Sound's Elliott Bay, snowcapped mountains and sunsets,) FRIENDLIEST WELCOME (and most helpful! service,) plus a seriously comfortable spacious VIEW SUITE (which could have better lighting but the view was so great, who cares?!) at a reasonable price! We absolutely adore this hotel and would not stay anywhere else in Seattle. The restaurant and room service are superb, (food, service, bar... everything!) Bravo to management because this hotel and staff hits ALL the right notes. Also highly recommend Bem Paris for dinner and GF eating at Virginia Inn. Fish Heaven!

The location is great, close to everything you want to see and do. The room was a tad small but worked for three people. The room was clean and the staff were very welcoming and prompt when asked anything. The Nest, their rooftop bar, was fantastic. The drinks were great and the view was amazing. I felt the area around the hotel was very safe and clean. I would definitely recommend to others or stay here again.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out, our stay at Thompson Seattle was absolutely exceptional. We were celebrating several milestone birthdays, including my 40th, and the team made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued from beginning to end. The service was exemplary, warm, attentive, and thoughtful without ever feeling overbearing. Every interaction felt sincere. Our water view room was stunning. Waking up to the view of Puget Sound (and even catching the wheel!) made the entire weekend feel even more special. The room was beautifully designed, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. The entire property has such an elevated yet inviting atmosphere. From the front desk to the overall hospitality, everything exceeded our expectations. Thank you to the Thompson team, Keonne, Front Desk Supervisor... for helping make such important milestones unforgettable. We will absolutely be back. M. Ramirez
