Walked over to visit the W’s hotel bar and stumbled upon what seemed like a birthday party bash upfront. There were no signs indicating the party was private so I ordered two drinks for a friend and myself. I closed the tab immediately. “Large party gratuity” was added onto the check. Apparently it was assumed we were there for the birthday party? Mind you, this is a hotel bar, not a restaurant. Shady business practice. Never again.

After picking my car up from the $75 a night valet we noticed a dent and scratch on a brand new car. After 1 month of poor communication they decided to not pay for the damage. The manager at the W stated they have nothing to do with the parking.

We stayed 2 night over new year eve and also celebrated our daughter's birthday. The number 1 positive is hospitality! Tania our receptionist was friendly, the café stagg were very accommodating making our breakfast experience great. Finally Ian made our stay wonderful by going above and beyond to prepare the room to celebrate our daughter's birthday. Prepared balloons, cupcakes and mini donuts that surprised our daughter. The best bit was a signed card from the staffs, it really made it special. It was a really wonderful stay mainly due to the staff. Affitionally the location was great, central to downtown activities. Trace market food had a Hawaiin twist which was really good and creative like a home made spam.

Stayed here for two nights for work. I found the front desk staff to be rude and the property to be in poor condition. I used SNAs and was able to get a suite but was told they couldn't give me 4pm late checkout. The food for breakfast was expensive and wasn't very good. No welcome amenity provided for Ambassador Elite members. I had to fight to get breakfast made available to me as a welcome choice. I think there are better options in Seattle and I wouldn't rush back.

Welcoming service and staff. Beautiful design especially with the bar and fire pit/place. Our room was quiet and comfortable; good mattress and shower. One complaint! At a higher end hotel, shouldn't you have better quality toilet paper than a ...Hampton Inn? C'mon guys, step up your quality control in purchasing.
