Amara is a gem among the Sedona hotels. Perhaps you've heard about Sedona's stunning Red Rocks-they are a tad bit famous (for good reason). The scenery here is almost impossibly beautiful, as if an artist made the entire horizon his canvas. Fortunately for all who visit, the Red Rocks are very real and provide the stunning backdrop for our world-class boutique hotel, Amara Resort.

I was deceived, I booked on the hotel website and prepaid. Was given $200 a night and prepaid. When checking out was told we owed an additional $400 a night plus resort fees and parking fees. I was charged an additional $600 at check out.

What a treat. Everything was perfect from the moment we walked in. The courtyard is lit up at night with beautiful string lights, and there was an amazing guitarist playing outside that we watched from our balcony. Beautiful views! Rooms were newly renovated and spotless. Food was delicious. Pool was perfectly cool as the staff was incredible. I’d highly recommend. Amara didn’t miss on any mark!

This was our fist time at the Amara Resort. Our experience with the entirety of the staff was extremely positive and professional. Our room was clean and spacious. However, I was not aware that the hotel is pet friendly and our first nights sleep was interrupted by unattended dogs down the hall who were not too happy being left in the room. When this happened a second evening, I engaged the front desk and raised my concern about expecting a restful evening for my wife and I. The front desk staff took action to address my concerns and our second night was much better. Had I known that the Amara was pet friendly and allowed pets to be left unattended in the rooms, I would not have stayed at this hotel. Having said that, I truly appreciated their attempt to address our concerns regarding the noise and the negative impact that had on our stay the Amara.

Great location. Easy walk into the heart of Sedona. Rooms facing the interior (courtyard and pool area) are very loud in the early morning and late at night. Mostly kids running around and adults playing cornhole.

we stopped in unprompted because we needed to get off of the motorcycle during the heat of the Arizona summer Son. The staff was more than happy to help us find a room as well as recommend a couple of places for us to grab food. They also mentioned that the pool was a great spot to go. we enjoyed room service as well as the restaurant in the resort. My fiancé and I couldn’t have been happier with our stay and we cannot wait to come back another time.
