Amara is a gem among the Sedona hotels. Perhaps you've heard about Sedona's stunning Red Rocks-they are a tad bit famous (for good reason). The scenery here is almost impossibly beautiful, as if an artist made the entire horizon his canvas. Fortunately for all who visit, the Red Rocks are very real and provide the stunning backdrop for our world-class boutique hotel, Amara Resort.

Riley (front desk), Arturo (valet), Teah (concierge) and Jose (front desk manager) truly made this stay feel luxurious and carefree. They were so friendly and helpful with each request, suggestion, etc. Room Service was prompt and the food was delicious. A high powered telescope accompanied by a man with astronomy facts was present for free on one of the nights. This was certainly a treat! The location in relation to shops/uptown Sedona was perfect and their shuttle service to the top of the hill was perfect after a long day of hiking. The only reason for four stars instead of five is the on-site dining cost. While I understand pricing in a popular destination like Sedona, it felt a bit disproportionate to the nightly rate, and some added value for guests dining on property would have made the experience feel more complete. Outside of that I would certainly stay here again, perhaps just plan better for eating off property daily.

This is a perfect hotel situated right in downtown Sedona. The hotel is clean and the views are beautiful. The staff will happily provide you a ride in a golf cart to the main road to enjoy the restaurants and shopping. The concierge, Teah, was fantastic in helping me plan my stay. She recommended great dining and hiking options! I treated myself to the spa as well, was pricey but worth it!

Fantastic experience - great location, friendly staff, excellent food, nice rooms, pleasant pool area (upgrade to the creek side rooms if you can) Highly recommend for your Sedona stay.

Resort is very nice with a great view. Service was great - the valet people are very quick and responsive. The salt rock restaurant is very good. Amazing views from the pool and recreation area. Pool area is very nice (you dont really need a room with a view - they are angled so you dont see much and you can see everything you need from the common area. Only complaint was that its a 5 star "relaxation resort" and I got woken up at 7am by dogs barking for 15 minutes in someones room. I have dogs - love dogs - but dont want to be woken up my someone elses dog in the morning when I'm paying to relax at a high end resort. If I had been playing loud music at 1am and waking people up Im sure the hotel would have dealt with it quickly. There needs to be some stricter policies around noise levels.

We were very pleased we chose Amara for our stay in Sedona. It was in a great location, walkable to almost anywhere in town we wanted to go, but felt like we were in an oasis because of where the resort is situated. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and went above and beyond what we expected. Valet was fast and efficient. Because we had an exceptionally early flight on our departure day, they left our keys with the front desk and ensured our vehicle was parked right in front so it was a very simple departure. We would stay again in a heartbeat!
