Outstanding resort! Extended our stay, we loved it so much.

I can't say enough good things about our stay. The staff are impeccably trained. The grounds are absolutely stunning with brilliant architecture that kept the natural landscape intact. Outstanding food at the restaurant. Valet was exceptional on the information they had about the property and they're eagerness to assist. Incredibly polite and consistent. When I requested housekeeping at a certain time, they were completely punctual and would show up to the very minute I requested. Loved the ability to text with the front desk any particular needs that we had. Absolutely loved the pool. In each atrium there is a spiral staircase that takes you to a rooftop where you can appreciate the gorgeous Sedona horizon. There is something just so incredibly relaxing about this resort. Dog friendly too!! Love that!

Lovely staff but a wildly overpriced resort

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

I feel bad writing a negative review when all the staff were so nice, but I’m genuinely pretty baffled by all the glowing reviews for Ambiente. There were a few huge issues I had with it: above all, the price! $1,900 for 1 night for the cheapest (!) room class, when the hotel was practically empty is just absolutely wild. For that price I’d expect something really top notch, and the truth is my room (22) really didn’t come close to that. The vibe was just ok, but its biggest issue by far was that it had absolutely no view, and absolutely no privacy - in fact, the only way to get any privacy is to draw all the blinds, so you’re in a dark little cavern in the middle of the day, which seems to totally defeat the purpose of being somewhere spectacular like Sedona. Now, no doubt there is some better room category that actually offers a view. But the notion that a $1,900 comes with no view at all is inexcusable in my opinion. Then there were some other oddities - no bottled water whatsoever in the room. I actually had to order some at 3am because I was parched, and they asked me if I’d be ok with sparkling as they may not have any still (!?) I don’t think I’ve ever been to a hotel at any price where I’ve been told they may not have still water on offer. In the end they did bring me some, but the fact that it was an issue seems bizarre. Next time I’m in Sedona I will probably try Eagle Dancer or some other resort at a much lower price. It was still a great time - Cathedral Rock and Devil’s Bridge were fantastic hikes. I did Soldier’s Pass too a little closer to the hotel - also cool, but not quite as memorable.

Couples Retreat :)

This is a must do experience if you are heading to Sedona. If you stay the only need to leave the resort is to hike and btw there is a trail head at the resort's entry! Adults only..... Each POD is very high end, super relaxing for a couple's retreat. Do not plan on planning to much.... hike, pool, massage, food, cocktails and enjoy the VERY on point service from a team who are obviously 100% bought in on the resort and there to offer very polished service. Spa is intimate and service providers very good at their craft. Pool is perfectly sized, has a great vibe and super relaxed for this adult only location. Food and beverage well thought out, local, service is well knowledged and friendly. one stand out was Kent at the pool! The rooms are large, well appointed and sexy for a couple retreat. Thank you to ALL of the team the property is VERY well done and hopefully we will be back in the near future. I cant imagine a better property to stay at if in the Sedona area.
